Transfers Summer 2020 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Completely agree here, although I think contract expiry dates will be scrutinised and considered more heavily this summer after the Eriksen debacle. Come the summer Dier will be on 1 year and Lamela, Foyth, Aurier and Gazza all with 2 years left.

Given we are not willing to take a loss, I’m far from convinced by your logic there, even though they should all be shipped out ASAP.

You know when you play 5 card brag and you just keep 1 card and change 4, you wonder what you might end up with!
The more I watch our defence I think that's what we should do?
How have we slipped from having the best back 4 to this shambles?
And sees is too lightweight to be a left back, similar to KWL,
JM usually buys 6 foot muscular types for every position so new recruitment will be interesting. It might rule out Aaron's for instance.
It will be VERY interning to see who he wants/gets.
If he fails, we will be mediocre for years, if he succeeds then the sky is the limit.
I have been watching spurs for nearly 60 years and this transfer window is the most important ever if we want to be top 4.

probably a good thing (Aarons) I don’t get the hype, practically anonymous vs us the other night and we were utter shite.

although, given Aurier is the alternative, I see why folk are desperate to pin hopes on a gettable lad.

"Massive changes? No. Not massive changes. First of all because that is not what we think we need. Secondly because of the profile of the club. Third because of what the market is. Year after year after year it is more difficult."

depressing.:avbshock:

I was going to ask if Yuri Berchiche was classed as homegrown for us and would be worth bringing back since he has a couple of good seasons behind him now. But then I realized that he was 30 already.

Maybe worth getting someone younger.

I think he's got his sights firmly set on Shearer's PL record. I don't see him moving abroad. Down to the CL qualification I think. Sad but ominous.
This. He really wants the PL goalscoring record
If he is fit, he plays.
If he is half fit, he plays.
Totally understand and admire his desire and determination but it’s been to the detriment of his health as he has overplayed.
Pochettino will get the United gig & Kane will go there for an astronomical fee.
That’s my nightmare scenario.
Kane beating Shearers record, but not with Spurs.
