Perhaps we can ship them CCV instead of a cash deal... Insert a 50% sell-on clause on him too.... Rinse and repeat.

I think the person to blame for the fact that it didn't work out is mostly Edwards himself, since multiple reports talked about his attitude problems.

Don't believe everything you read Stanley. Teenagers will be teenagers, they don't all conform to some ideal personality standard, but I can tell you this kid lived for football, ate, slept, breathed football, and wanted nothing more than to make it with us.

He went to Holland and now Portugal just to get to play football, and both places he went out there and lived with his dad, he's not a party animal, if anything he was more of an introvert.

he was made promises to get him to sign his last contract with us, so it's understandable when the manager doesn't keep those promises that the kid, whose career's on the line, might not always be happy about that. And those promises weren't even that big our hard to keep.

Do you think he feels let down by the club or just Poch. Even if we now want him he probably doesn't want to come back here

Marcus Edwards, the Tottenham Hotspur youngster compared to Lionel Messi by manager Mauricio Pochettino, is in line for a lecture on his time-keeping and general attitude after his loan spell at Norwich City was cut short.

The 19-year-old returned to Spurs this week, having played only six minutes for Championship club Norwich after joining on loan in January.

Edwards was meant to stay with the Canaries until the end of the season, but both clubs confirmed that he had returned to Tottenham due to ‘personal reasons’.

Telegraph Sport understands a number of issues contributed to Edwards’ disappointing spell at Norwich, including his poor time-keeping.

It is believed he failed to arrive on time for a single training session and was also late for team meetings, much to the bewilderment of Norwich’s senior professionals.

His attitude and failure to engage with the rest of Norwich’s squad surprised the other players, although sources at Tottenham point out that Edwards has an introverted personality that can be misunderstood.

They definitely felt let down by Pochettino and to a lesser extent the club in the end I think. Him and especially his dad are massive ManU fans as well, so if they are the other club it will be a no brainer for them I would imagine.

They absolutely loved it here at the academy for most of the time, it's what kept them here when they had other opportunities (I'm pretty sure ManU had sniffed round him previously) he really liked Ehiogue too - people seem to forget the effect his death had on some of them. But I think Poch's shenanigans just killed it for them. From being on the verge of the first team, making that sub appearance in the cup, he was basically put back in with the academy group, never to resurface.

See, this bit gets stuck in last.

Lot's of "believed" type allegations in there. It was his first loan away from Spurs, and there was also a rumour it was done to teach him a lesson.

Have there been any reports of him causing any trouble or disruption at his loans in Holland or his time in Portugal ?

Was there a single report of him being disruptive at Spurs or not training properly or did he ever not try in games ?

Did he ever go to a tabloid and bitch about the club and Pochettino ?

Teenager gets a bit humpy. Must be a complete wrong un ....

Turning up is a basic rule that winds up everybody if not adhered to.

Fuck a low budget. Buy this man. People see his highlight rocket goals and think he isn't a DM. He is used as a DM for Wolves and does a damn good job. He's also a much better facilitator than the likes of Winks. Letting him sit back a little deeper with Ndombele and Lo Celso in front of him and we'd have the best midfield in the league.

I agree he's a fine player but shouldn't we be concentrating on a back line? We're as leaky as a garden sieve.
RB is of paramount importance and Sanchez and Ben don't fill me with confidence.
We already have loads of talent in MF if only JM can develop them but plugging the holes should be top of the list.

They've already taken the captaincy away from him so know that he is not commited and is going to leave.

Also the club is up for sale which means that they can be exploited before a new owner is found

Ward Prowse is a fine player.

The defence will probably look much better with a proper DM in front of them, totally agree though that we need a new right-back.

We need a DM more than anything.

- To unlock our manager's tactics at their best.
- To unlock the potential of all the wedge we spent last summer.
- To allow our attacking players more confidence to attack.
- To prevent us being so easy to play through.
- To protect our collective defense.

Free transfer plan is not going well is it after missing out on Meunier and Willian. Fraser will probably end up somewhere like Everton or Arse
