We won't pay more than 10 mill for Hojbjerg. Already it's been written that we've made a cash plus player offer, Levy will definitely drive the price right down with the player having 1 year left on his deal
And they've already said that they won't sell one of their key players for peanuts. You could offer them a medicore player like KWP in return and still end up paying 15-20m.
He was brilliant yesterday. One particular moment where he ran back at speed towards the right hand touchline on the halfway line, launched himself at the west Spam player, cleanly won the ball, jumped up and then without thinking pinged a forward pass of about 50 yards to the left edge of the penalty area which landed at the feet of a teammate. Wonderful to watch
He is a Mendes client and Mendes manages Jose iirc. I said earlier that we will have to sell Ndombele to raise cash in order to finance a move for someone like Neves but I think it would be the right decision because Neves is more of a Jose player. If Levy for once really wants to back a manager then this would be an opportunity to demonstrate it. However according to reports it seems Levy has told Jose that Ndombele will not be sold under any circumstances
Doesn't really matter what they say because time is ticking on his contract. If the player wants to join us then Levy will drive the price right down. If the player hasn't decided and is open to move to other clubs then yes Southampton can start a bidding war and they could get a higher fee. However it seems Hojbjerg wants to join us so Levy is in the driving seat.
It does matter if they rather keep their best player for one more season - and see him go on a free in 2021 - than to sell him for peanuts this summer; we won't get him unless we come up with a serious offer.
They've already taken the captaincy away from him so know that he is not commited and is going to leave.
Also the club is up for sale which means that they can be exploited before a new owner is found

He will if a club comes up with a decent offer, I think we will be that club paying 20-25m, which seems fair given his qualities / how important he has been for their team and on the other hand his contract situation.

Correct. Southampton are going to have problems trying to keep a number of players not just Hojbjerg whose contract situation means he already has one foot out of the door
