for me Milik is CF we should be looking at, tall, strong, really good stats and seemingly keen to move.

RB - Ferguson seems a no brainer - cheap (although apparently about to join Palace?) not a complete short arse like Aarons.

CB - Kim or Gabriel - both seem completely and a huge risk...... but sure I'm game

DM - Hojbjerg

all for 50M seems incredible gettable.

Since Jan and Foyth are most certainly gone and with Toby being on his last leg, I get the need for a CB.

But like most have said a DM is the most important piece of the puzzle. Our defense has never been the same since Wanyama got hurt.

The two I like are Sangare and Bennacer. One thing I love about Bennacer is his ability to dribble and shield the ball. He can really relieve pressure of the back 4.

I have a feeling we're getting Kim and Gabriel.

Son recruiting his friend. Our staff recruiting their former player. Both well within our budget.

Give them a bit to develop then sell Toby.

Have we actually got any money to spend now, or will all future transfers depend on what we can raise in sales ?

And apart from those clubs with rich owners who put money in , has anyone got any money to spend in this current empty stadium situation?

I think that's why people are saying that there will be a lot of loan deals happening.

It's obviously going to hit the smaller clubs more, so there might be a couple of bargains available., due to those clubs needing the money more and to get a high earner of off their books.
But your right it's going to affect all clubs to some extent.
But, obviously, it's going to be Levy's fault if we don't spend big nothing to do with Covid.

I'm wondering if the PL/EUFA will give clubs a pass with regard to FFP due to Covid impacting income. If they do the doped clubs are going to be laughing.

IMO the answer is yes there is money.

Prior to covid, I had suggested £100m or so (as last summer) plus sales, but clearly things will have changed.

My revised guestimates would be £50m - £80m plus sales, with the higher figure being if it looks as if stadiums will be opened (allowing matchday revenues - tickets, food and drink, increased merchandise sales etc, more stadium tours etc) early in the 20/21 season.

Remember that French leagues are trialing 5,000 spectators from early July, with a review at end of July to consider increasing that limit. So UK might follow even if a month or two behind. And no dates announced for start of 20/21 season or end of TW, but I'd guess a late start in September and TW end no earlier than say 30 September (UEFA announced TW end no later than about mid October as CL group stages start 3rd week October).

I got it about right last summer, based upon looking at the club financials, but its a lot more of a stab in the dark this time round.

Just a suggestion, but some fancy footwork might be used for a deal this TW - copying Barcelona and Juventus who are apparently considering a 'player swap' (something usually as rare as hens teeth) - with Swiss Ramble providing a pretty compelling story as to why it might be happening.

The 2 clubs apparently 'swapping' two players one an 'old player' and the other a young player both valued at 80m

Think Juventus win though !

Wouldn't help us cash wise, but might be a way to do a deal this summer ?
