Llorente was on about the same. I think there would be a lot of clubs in for him at that price so we’d have to pay that level of wage to get him, which I agree is a negative.

It seems like a no brainer to me. He had a poor season like everyone else at Bournemouth, but maybe was effected by not getting his big move last summer (when Chelsea wanted him).

If his knees aren’t completely shot and that is the reason for his tail off in form he ticks a lot of boxes for us. We could send them Parrott on loan as a sweetener too perhaps?
last summer he got 15 goals, the only time he got double figures playing. 10 million is as cheap as it gets but that seems to be the only up side as far as I can see.

I didn't realise he wasnt more prolific. Strange Chelsea wanted him. I suspect, even though they don't need him, they might come in for him if they think we want him! I think he'd be in demand though. Leicester, the scum, a couple of others might fancy him. If their forwards are up for sale, he'd be the one I think we would want.

As a general point it seems they need to sell because of his wages if they go down and so would be willing to take £10m for him. I don't think thats a relegation clause so would be open to negotiation.

If we're going for pure back up to Kane then Wilson is probably as good as it gets, especially at that price. Still think its a mistake though as he would suffer in the same way as Janssen and Llorente. Kane is just too good to drop so when the back up comes in for the odd cup game they look rusty and start to lose confidence. Would be much better to have a wing forward type that could play with and instead of Kane but with Mourinhos liking for a traditional no 9 that seems unlikely.

I'd be okay with Wilson as back up to Kane. PL proven, got a few England caps. Should reasonably get about 5-10 goals in a season if given the opportunity.

£10m england international, has pace, physical, scored decent number of goals for Bournemouth, good age I can’t see what’s wrong with that! We will have filled a squad we desperately need relatively cheap. Then press ahead with the 2 other major positions RB and DM.

Wilson is a sensible signing. If we assume Kane has an injury free season, which is unlikely but possible, then his understudy will hardly ever play. It’s going to be tough to get someone like Milik to agree to join us in that situation but Wilson will just be happy to be here.

For £10m it’s decent value. We need someone who can score easy chances in cup matches and be able to play 15-20 minutes in league matches where Kane needs to rest late on. We don’t need someone to actually compete with Kane, there is no such player in the world that we could afford.

We shouldn't be buying players off the back of having one good season. If we are buying him I hope we've done our homework on him.

Yep, 100% Levy’s fault. He never provided Poch with the appropriate tools and has never provided any of our managers with the right tools to properly succeed. Check out Liverpool’s owners and what they did to help Klopp to see the difference between both clubs. Surprise surprise, they are now European and league champions, whilst we are back to square one again trying to get into the CL. I’m happy with Mourinho as I feel he can possibly bring trophies to Spurs, but he needs the backing and he won’t get that with Levy. Pochettino was never truly backed by Levy.
You idiot.
Poch cooked a squad good enough to win trophies.

Wilson would be a good signing but cant see us getting him for 10m as he will be widely wanted. Jose has played 442 a bit this season so he would be a good option when pasting this especially when teams come to sit in

Spurs problem isnt recruiting top young talent (although happy to get more if we have nobody coming through in certain positions ) , it developing them mainly from the ages of 18 through to 21 (for the most part our develoment up to the ahe of 18 is not too bad).

Just to illustrate our recruitment 'success' next seasons Academy Year 1 includes 4 England u16's - Aaron Maguire (GK) Jordan Hackett-Valton (LB/CB) Alfie Devine (CM) Dane Scarlett (ST) - whilst 2 players, Khalon Haysmann and Dante Cassanova - were called up for England u15 squads, so a talented squad.

Pre-Poch we might have hoped to get one or sometimes two players into the first team squad, less in the last 5 - 6 years when in reality only Winks has made it through (with the likes of KWP not really making enough of an imptression)

Currently it looks as if Tanganga (CB/FB) might make it whilst JM has said that Cirkin (LB/CB) and White (DM/LB) will be part of the first team squad.

Other players who JM could name check who are there or therabouts are Parrott (striker), Austin (GK), Bowden (CM/DM), Walcott (CB), all of who have made the first team bench or played a few minutes or looked good on pre-season. And there are others who I'd like who are maybe slightly less well known atm.

So some of the talent we have are starting to show early signs of being developed - but it is early signs : we'll only really know if its reality or a false alarm in a year or two.

Yeah, fair point, But I can't think of any super dooper RB's at the moment, so will defer to others, either way, I can't think of any young superstar RB's I'd want to pay much money for right now, so whoever we bring in shouldn't take a huge chunk out of the budget.

What do you think of Hans Hateboer (Atalanta) 26 year old Dutch international, 2 years left on his contract but been quoted as saying he would be happy to leave (Spurs also linked with his RB/LB back up) ? Rmoured available at circa £20m

For a longer term solution, you might want to monitor Dermi Lusala , 17 year old, in Spurs academy. Probably not for 20/21 but season after as back up RB.

If wilson is available for such a small fee there will be a glut of clubs in for him - west ham Newcastle maybe leeds etc. Not sure he would pick us with Kane around

Remember , Don.
Levy is a real fan. One of our own.
He's only here because he loves Spurs. And his shit smells like roses.

Where is this source from?

Not sure about Wilson.

The main reason why Bournemouth are down in relegation is because they don't score enough goals. This has coincided with Wilson not scoring many goals this season.

I've watch Bournemouth recently quite a lot and he has been very poor. The form he was in last 2 seasons has gone. You can only get that back by playing regularly so sitting on the bench with us won't help him. I'd rather we have Parrott on the bench. Particularly if we have 9 options still with 5 subs.
