CM’s 5 Ndombele, Winks (Club), Sissoko, Skipp (u21), Gedson (loan)
AM’s 7 - Dele (Assn), Son, Moura, Lamela. Lo Celso, Sessegnon (u21), Bergwijn
FWD’s 1 – Kane (Club)
Total of 24 players (including Rose and KWP)
16 Overseas trained. Maximum of 17 overseas trained players allowed.
4 Club trained (including Rose and KWP)
1 Trained by other associations affiliated to The FA
3 Under 21's
24 Total
Excludes Parrott, Cirkin, White expected to join first team squad and those likely to be loaned out.
So we have 1 spare place for overseas players (and maybe a 2nd if Foyth leaves, and a 3rd if Gedson's loan ended before time). Plenty of spaces for home grown players to join.
But its a pretty full squad (especially Overseas trained players) so expect 2/3/4/5 players to be sold to allow spaces for new players coming in,

I could really see Dele being sold this summer. I bet we could get a good fee for him
There's no lucrative move upwards on the horizon for him.
He needs a good season to rehab his price-tag... Even more-so considering the C19 effect on potential buyer's finances.

Mourinho is known for getting his business done quickly, and at the start of the transfer window. I think it important to bring in his targets swiftly, sell those/loan those who he doesn’t want quickly, and start the gelling process. Extremely peculiar circumstances, but the new season starts in 7 weeks, and it’d be great to have the squad settled by then. Asking a lot of Levy mind you.

But he would be able to play as a lone striker or out wide with Kane, right?
The selling side of things is gonna be such a ball-ache (see C19).... In simple terms:
Bigger/richer clubs: We have no-one for sale that they'd be interested in buying.
Similar level clubs in other leagues: We'll have very few players for sale that would interest them anyway... Likely to be less cash rich than their EPL counterparts and thus probably not worth us taking a sizeable hit on the fees anyway (See e.g. Dele... Or even players in the 20m bracket e.g. Lamela)
Lesser/poorer clubs: Best chance of us shifting the bulk of our deadwood, but equally even so, likely to be even more skint than we are.

When he says this I think about the prototype Jose sides with Robben and Duff. With Kane as Drobgba and three from Son, Zaha, Lucas Bergwin as his wide forwards. That we have been linked with Vasquez and Fraser tells me one wide forward may be on the cards. But a deal with Palace would be very hard. They have to want 40m can you see Levy finding that....hmmm
The days of a big time fee for him have gone.... He's agitated for a move and come up empty on a couple of occasions now. The hype has moved on and he's not been great this season.
Don't beat around the bush - just say you don't want him shagging Mourinho's daughter.
But he would still cost £40m or something like that, which we are never gonna spend on a forward this summer.. We've got other priorities.
What I can see happen though is Willian on a free, which gives us Son, Bergwijn, Lucas, possibly Lamela and Willian as options.
