Coutinho is a fraud, being sent away by Barca and then Bayern is not a good sign.

If get David Brooks as well I will be happy, I think he could really be a smart signing. He had a fantastic debut season and had horrible luck with injuries this season, I think many people have forgotten about him. If we could get him and Wilson for £20m combined we will have got a great deal.

Going by that article it seems that Mourinho and the club can see all the gaps in the squad that we can.
I like Brooks aswell but I just can’t see us getting both unless additional sales are made and Wilson plays a position we actually need.

Would be very happy with both though, homegrown quality squad options. Hopefully they have better injury records here though, both been horrific.

His move to Bayern went fine, but they obviously wanted to sign Sane and play with more orthodox wingers.

I don’t really understand the luxury player thing. If he makes and scores goals, how is that a luxury? We still have a massive creative vacuum post-Eriksen and whole Coutinho wouldn’t be my ideal choice, he could be available on loan with a subsidised wage and is a the type of player I could see Jose rebuilding his confidence and getting him playing.

Also, and I can’t stress this enough, set pieces are a massive weapon with Jose, and being able to score cheap early goals is huge if you want to be a counter-attacking team. Coutinho’s set pieces are a cut above anything er have currently.

Perhaps you've heard of Mesut Ozil?

Countinho is not prolific enough to supplement the fact that he brings so little apart from his goal involvement.

CCV is getting rave reviews from the Luton fans and is heavily credited as keeping them up. Imagine if he got to go on loans earlier than 21 when he started going on loan?
He'd still be the second coming of the oil tanker that is Steven Caulker and with hips that twist as if he's in traction...but with more game experience and he'd have found his level far sooner.

Fallacy that somehow 'early games' is going to turn a Ford into a Ferrari. If that's the case then their peak would only be 'delayed' yet we won't and don't see these poor kids turn world beaters in their mid and later 20s. Curious that.

Ozil was one of the most effective creative players in the world until he lost interest in the game. You can fit any player into a team if the system and balance is right.

We’re not gonna be a hyper pressing team under Jose anyway so I don’t see the problem with accommodating a player like him.

FWIW, our recent signings from Premier League clubs have all been at least moderately successful and useful to the team.

Dembele
Parker
Gylfi
Davies
Llorente
Wanyama
Toby (kind of from Southampton)
Sissoko
Trippier

Not counting Sessegnon who is more of a prospect signing.

Bodes well for Hojbjerg and possibly Wilson.

Was..... Now isn't.... Thus a "luxury player".

I would have to rate him a lot higher to want to build around him... Especially if he was a loan player.

He'd essentially be taking game-time from GLC or Ndombele (who seemingly needs accommodating in his own way and we've already got 60m wrapped up in him!) unless you wanna stick PC on the wing (which wouldn't be making the most of his strengths).....

To me, I have no idea why we don't just pay the release for Partey. We need a DM, we know he'll leave and it gives us the added bonus of screwing the scum. Instead were messing around saving a few bucks on a bargain option. So frustrating.

His move to Bayern didn't work out either and Liverpool haven't missed him for one second. Coutinho is a luxury player and we don't need people like him on enormous salaries. It's a non-starter when we already have a mega-salary going to someone who spends most of his time in the stands or the treatment room. Our signings this summer will be sensible and financially low-risk.

Send Ndombele to Barca on a two year loan and we get Coutinho on a two year loan. Let's face it, Jose doesn't like Tangy and Tangy doesn't like Jose. I very much doubt the situation is going to change. So if the club doesn't want to sell Tangy they have to send him out on loan for a couple of years and once they sack Jose they can bring Tangy back and make sure a manager is employed who thinks Tangy is amazing.

Barca pay Tangy's salary and we pay Coutinho's.

So if we go off Dan KP correctly predicting our transfer business last summer I think we will end up with:

In:
Hojberg
Kim Min-Jae
Castagne
Callum Wilson

Out:
Rose
KWP
Juan Foyth

Ndombele stays as “spurs are very reluctant to give up on their record signing after one season”.

I know most would be looking for bigger names on that list but Dan KP was freakishly accurate last time so I’m just going to resign myself to this.

Atleast we may finally get to see a Ndombele/DM/Gio midfield with Kane/Son/Bergwijn ahead of them. Even if that DM is Hojberg I’m still confident we can surprise a few if we do start playing this team next season.

Defence has looked better in recent weeks and with a DM in front of them they can only get better. Left back will be our biggest weakness if this is how the window goes. Maybe Sess/Cirkin do well in the EL and force their way in to the starting 11?

This meshes with a lot of the rumors we have been hearing now for a few weeks.

Most probably Atletico want all 50m up front which we don’t have. Doubt they would take loads of small structured payments because they don’t want to sell him.

Willian is still a quality player, but somehow I can’t get over his taunting of us when he scores the midget cunt. Has been laughing with the Chelsea fans at us for years in regards to his failed move to us. Most of my mates are Chelsea fans and he loves it when they sing the Willian / Spurs Song. Guys a cunt sorry.

P.S I have only spoken to one Chelsea fan in 20 years. Hopefully i will go another 20 before i speak to another one.

Josh Onomah is looking much stronger at Fulham. He's grown out of his Bambi stage. I'd like to see him back at Spurs. Perhaps next summer.
