What about playing

——————Kane—————
Son————GLC———-Couthino
——Hojbjerg——Ndombele ——
Davies——Toby—-Sanchez —New RB
——————Hugo———————

Like GLC, Countinho isn't really a winger though is he.....?

Not really a fan of him, but if we are gonna spend a big chunk on him and his wages then it shouldn't just be to shoehorn him in somewhere....

I'd rather play the following than do that:

GLC / DM / Ndombele
Bergwijn / Kane / Son

OR

DM / GLC or Ndombele
Bergwijn / Kane / Son / Lucas

Harry spent half a season there and helped them survive relegation.

Love Poch to bit but he got it absolute wrong by not loaning our youth players to gain real experience and build their mental fortitude.

Those loans are what helped make Harry what he is today, look how much KWP and Onomah have improved over the last 6 month/year.
There is obviously a bit of a middle ground where you can keep a few youngsters around the first team whilst sending some out on loan. But overall I agree, in hindsight Poch's no loans policy was very detrimental to the academy production line.

A loan with the option to buy for players seems like a smart move going forward , if we end up with a dud we aren’t stuck with them earning a wage and not playing while Levy tries to flog them , if on the other hand they are decent we can make the move permanent
That isn't the craziest idea. So, say we have an option to buy Coutinho for £60m? He is 28. He is on £250k a week. How does that fit with our latest policy of cutting every corner we possibly can by attempting to sign players like Hojbjerg?

Part of the problem is that we are a relatively poor club. We need to sell players to generate the cash for new faces. Signing players on loan is like renting a house; it's dead money.
What happened to the biggest profit in world football - money last year? And the year before. Nothing saved in the barns for a rainy day?

I don't buy the poor club bs

The Messis, Ronaldos, Rooneys and Owens of this world who are ready for first team football at top level by age17 are very rare, less than 1%.

Players in age group 18-21 should be in either lower leagues or teams in middle/lower end of the table playing football regularly.

Agreed. Or off to say Holland or Portugal which are still top flights but more willing to bed in youngsters (looking at you, Chelsea).

CCV is getting rave reviews from the Luton fans and is heavily credited as keeping them up. Imagine if he got to go on loans earlier than 21 when he started going on loan?

Do you "buy" that we spent circa 160m this year and that we were also building a stadium during prior windows?

If not, download our accounts, crunch the numbers and prove your theory.

Conspiracy theory is futile.

Onomah doing well at Fulham now too...

Loan system worked pretty well for Kane, Andros etc.

Then look at KWP, Skipp.... Sessengon.... Even GKN.....

Anyone remember Velkovic? ....How about that lad Georgiou?

So if we go off Dan KP correctly predicting our transfer business last summer I think we will end up with:

In:
Hojberg
Kim Min-Jae
Castagne
Callum Wilson

Out:
Rose
KWP
Juan Foyth

Ndombele stays as “spurs are very reluctant to give up on their record signing after one season”.

I know most would be looking for bigger names on that list but Dan KP was freakishly accurate last time so I’m just going to resign myself to this.

Atleast we may finally get to see a Ndombele/DM/Gio midfield with Kane/Son/Bergwijn ahead of them. Even if that DM is Hojberg I’m still confident we can surprise a few if we do start playing this team next season.

Defence has looked better in recent weeks and with a DM in front of them they can only get better. Left back will be our biggest weakness if this is how the window goes. Maybe Sess/Cirkin do well in the EL and force their way in to the starting 11?
