Transfers Summer 2020 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Of course we are.

Levy is in there with a one year, 10k/week offer so he can come out after the transfer window and we signed nobody and talk about how they tried to get guys but had to stay within their budget. Then his apologists can lick it up talking about how poor we are and that we can't be expected to compete with the Brentford's of the world when it comes to players.

I understand fine, John.... Dig the accounts out and properly paint YOUR side of the story if you wanna take this any further.

If not....

- How much is in the magic pot of un-spent money?
- How much do you think is a reasonable trf kitty for this summer?

2 very simple questions... Left years un-answered by you; for as long as I've been on TFC.

It's funny, the Wenger-out lot made it their business to know how much wasn't being spent and the 200m warchest they pressured Wenger into dipping into was made pubic knowledge; you'd think someone, anyone who's staunchly ENIC-out would do similar.... Curiously enough... No-one has. :kanehand:
But at least you understand, now, how a yearly business profit / loss is calculated?

Not fussed on any of those other than Brooks.

Really liked him before his injury, but not at the price being quoted.

My concern is that he would be like another Sessegnon. Flattering in another side and then disappearing as soon as he joins us.

My concern is that he is injury prone. When he came back from his long layoff he kept getting small niggles in games. He has the tools to be very good though.

You do realise Wenger was the Woolwich manager. Not the club's CEO?

Having a torrid night mate. Take a break and you'll come back the better for it.

I think we are going to stay where we are on RB

The horror.

Opponents are OVERJOYED to allow Aurier all the time and space he likes down the flank.

"No, please, gallop further out of position for the counter from your shit final ball, be our guest"

If we don't get an RB, we had better hope to get an LB or a big jump from Sessegnon to allow Mou to flip the field and have Tanganga play a Davies-type role on the right. Aurier just isn't good enough and is a time bomb for penalty giveaways to boot.

I don't think even levy can get this window wrong, I know he has done a few times in the past but on this occasion after the neglect that has happened over recent years no one will tolerate this anymore.

My most realistic preferred window right now would be:

IN: Callum Wilson, Eberechi Eze, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Kim Min-Jae, Timothy Castagne

OUT: Kyle Walker-Peters, Erik Lamela, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Juan Foyth

LOAN OUT: Skipp, Parrott, Cirkin +

ST: Harry Kane, Callum Wilson
RM: Lucas Moura, Steven Bergwijn
LM: Heung-Min Son, Eberechi Eze
AM: Gio Lo Celso, Dele Alli
CM: Tanguy Ndombele, Moussa Sissoko, Gedson Fernandes
DM: Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Harry Winks
LB: Ryan Sessegnon, Ben Davies
RB: Timothy Castagne, Serge Aurier
CB: Toby Alderweireld, Eric Dier, Davinson Sanchez, Japhet Tanganga, Kim Min-Jae
GK: Hugo Lloris, maybe a loaned backup?

I think that's certainly better and solid depth. We'd make a serious run for the Europa title and challenge for top 4.

Even if we don't sell aurier, we would only have one true rb in the senior squad.

One right back is desperately needed. Whether we get one that starts over aurier, or one that backs him up, will be a sign of our ambition/financial ability at the moment.

He will get it wrong by bringing in low level mediocre players but it terms of filling spots it should be fairly easy to get the needs met with bodies.

It is so obvious that we need a new RB, DM and back-up striker (at the very least) that it is hard not to see those things done.

Take out Lamela and Eze and I think that is likely what we do. Probably replace Castagne with a worse, cheaper option as well.

I’m currently watching Parma v Atalanta, if whipping in slightly more dangerous crosses than Aurier that still don’t reach a team mate but are ever so slightly closer is our plan than Timothy Castagne is our man

I think we are likely basing on transfers on more than one half of football.

Although with Levy that might be even more football than he watches.

Yes he can, Mou doesn't know what kind of team will start next season. To me that's terrible that we have one of the most decorated manager in history and he doesn't know what his squad will be.

Maybe I'm missing something but why is everyone so much higher on Eze than Brooks? He's only a year younger, and Brooks has put up numbers in the Premier League. Seems a bit like recency bias, Eze looks great but Brooks has proven he can do it in the Prem

Yes but can you see Jose putting up with Levy's tricks because history shows he won't.
Poch was easier for levy to handle because he was grateful for the chance to work at spurs after being at previous clubs, Jose doesn't need to prove himself with his CV other than not wanting to end his career on a blank.
