Transfers Summer 2020 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Mate of mine just asked me which team would I choose, and which team would win?

Lloris
Hutton - Alderweireld - Woodgate - Rose
Dembele - Parker
Lennon - Eriksen - Son
Defoe

or

Friedel
Walker - King - Vertonghen - Assou-Ekotto
Modric - Sandro
Lucas - VdV - Bale
Kane

King, Jan, Modric, VDV , Bale and Kane seems unfair :vert:

Anything from the awful lot at the disgustingly horrible Spurs Community? Don't they usually go particularly authoritarian this time of year when anyone dares question their pathetic ITKs?

If he is £45 million Foyth must be worth more than £15M
Foyth wouldn't be worth anything close to the £45m because of the number of PL minutes under his belt and the whole home-grown thing, but you're right that he should be more than £15m.

Given Foyth's recent quotes, it seems he gets on well and has respect for José but simply wants minutes next season. I really hope the club hierarchy are savvy enough to realise he should only be going out on loan as it would simultaneously boost his value and let us wait and see if he could cut it.

Oh, and one last thing that gets overlooked: for me, I think Ake is too short at 1.8m to be an elite CB. Foyth is actually 7cm taller.

Cannavaro was pretty elite at 175cm

Ah, yes, in case anyone is curious - this is the latest rancid fart to seep out of the metaphorical flabby arse cheeks of Hercules:

Eze latest:
Scouts love him
Daniel Levy loves the deal, as ‘DL deal’ with all the cards we hold with QPR
Down to if Josè agree. At this point it is unsure if he will give the nod, due to possibilities elsewhere.

Eze and his family been down to us on more than one occasion. Personally I would be gutted if we allowed him to go elsewhere. Two very obvious deals are close.

It feels wrong to treat this as serious information as he's such a tool, but if it were true then plenty on here are sure to be happy if we're in for Eze. I like him, but I also like Brooks and I wonder if the 'possibilities elsewhere' refers to Brooks specifically as it'd be difficult to see us sign two CAMs this window.

Personally I think there'd be wisdom in making a difficult decision to sell Lamela while bringing both in.

Fair point. Perhaps I should caveat that with 'current day Premier League elite' then. I also think that while a CB can make up for a lack of height with guile, I'm not sure Ake has that at all.

Just in terms of how Spurs look to be set up going into next season, we'll be seeing a lot of balls floated in by the opposition for our defenders to head clear and I'd much rather roll the dice on Kim Min Jae than go with Ake for that...

Nice of Daniel to discuss this transfer with the ITK before Jose.

Sad state of affairs that we're talking about selling/loaning out players in positions where we need them now but they've too raw cos they've been starved of game-time.... Especially when we're talking about buying players for said positions in the meantime (CB/DM/RB/ST2).

I dunno, I'm actually quite excited for the three 'biggies' in terms of being loaned out:

>Foyth
>Skipp
>Parrott

I'd much rather have Mourinho make these judgements from being with the team for the last few months and decide they need more playing time/bulking up before being ready to break into our team properly. Poch's preference for hoarding young talent within the first team training backfired in my opinion, and Chelsea's youngsters from this season demonstrate the value in smart loans.
