is it he got scared and quit?

Or he asked to leave because the manager gave no indication that he was willing to nurture him?

Bit of both by the looks of it.... Still a bit selective to state that Jose sold him in the manner that is commonly claimed.

Salah hasn’t spoken on Mourinho, Jose has though and he told on himself because he said Roma & Fiorentina nutured Salah.

Jose didn't sell Salah.. That's a simple fact.... He sent him on loan because he had players in that position that were delivering for him big time.... People act like Salah was exiled with the kids and was then fucked off out the club. That's bollocks..... He was even sold AFTER Jose left.

Look, before he came here and I cared enough to dig deeper; I too had your outlook over these 2 exits, but the truth is it's over-hyped, skewed folk-lore perpetrated by people that already dislike Jose...

I'm not saying he isn't capable of finding himself at odds with players, but there's two sides to these things and players like Ramos & Pogba are hardly angels. As for Martial, it's taken 3 Utd managers for him to finally settle down and make himself somewhat of a regular.

On the flip-side, ego-monsters like Zlatan love him so go figure.

this is my big fear, the way ENIC operate we have to have a coaching staff that us capable of nurturing players. Otherwise it’s gonna be a shelled out ageing squad with possibly a league cup to show for it in 2 years.

Mourinho is function and the perception of reliability over everything, to the point of detrimental madness. You’re seeing it now. There’s no way on gods green earth that you’ll ever be able to convince me that Lucas Moura is a superior player to Steven Bergwijn, unless you wasn’t to say Bergwijn is lazy too.

Lucas is far more industrious though.... He's a proper "busy cunt"... Little suprise Jose likes him.

Skipp is a better DM than Sissoko now but “experience”.

Yet, we had exactly the same scenario under Poch... Ditto the polarising Mr Winks.... Ditto when it comes to asking questions (albeit more subtly) of Ndombele.

I don’t trust his player evaluation and I’m not crazy considering the last 5 years of evidence.

Sure.... Look for evidence, but stay objective and beware of hype.... Especially when considering someone that attracts the amount of column inches that Jose does.

Oh shit “he earns a lot so he can’t possibly have personal struggles” FC have arrived

Personal struggles? Oh fuck off. He’s paid to be fit to play football. He can’t do his job because he can’t get fit and he’s had a whole year to do it.

You might be weak enough to take that but lots of us aren’t. I don’t want players to take us for a free ride, which is what he’s doing. Laughable people are backing him when he can’t do the bare minimum expected of him.

How many consecutive 90 minute appearances did he make under Poch?

Its not just a problem for mourinho, it was a problem for Poch too.

Consecutive 90 minute games? Two, I believe. The two opening games of the season against Villa and Man City (before he picked up a hamstring injury and subsequently missed the next two league games)

He started 11 of the 14 games he was available for and played in 883 of the possible 1,260 minutes available...

Since Pochettino left:

He's started 6 of the 23 games he was available for and played in 564 of the possible 2,070 minutes.

Worth noting that in Dembele's first season under Pochettino, he completed just 2 games in the league and played a total of 1,137 minutes across a 38 game season.... Which equates to taking part in about 12 and a half games....

Dembele never played 2 full consecutive games under Pochettino in the league until November 2015... 15 months after Pochettinos first league game in charge of Spurs.

Good post, admittedly I’m not shy of hiding my personal bias against Jose and why I believe he’s a bad fit for this club on multiple levels.

Martial was very good under Van Gaal though ;)

It's a bit alien for us.... I won't pretend otherwise.

Aye, he had his moments... I do sense he is a player that needs to be pandered to though.... Fair to say that's not Jose's style.

I don't rate Martial all that much, he's not got anywhere near the potential mentioned of him.

If they sign Sancho he doesn't get in the starting line up.

What makes you think that?
When United first signed him there was this hype he'd be a future Ballon d'Or winner, the next Henry.

I've never seen him win a game on his own, be the difference between 2 sides. He barely makes it into the French national team. If I had to choose between Rashford and Martial then it'd be Rashford every day.

Martial is definitely a class above Rashford for me.

Superb player who's been absolutely incredible this season for United. Wouldn't really base his international status on whether or not he's good. Deschamps regularly selects Moussa Sissoko and usually fails to select one of the best forwards in world football on a regular basis too.

Jose didn't sell Salah... wanna know why? Because he was sacked before Salah even finished his loan.

he froze out the best player in the country, why do people act like this is made up. Listen to what KDB says himself and how confused he was that he wasn't playing.

Benzema is probably not a good example of bad choices by Deschamps since the French FA president has blocked Benzema from playing for France again.
