Sorry, maybe I'm in a minority here but I just don't see us needing Coutinho. He always strikes me as one of those players who either decides to turn up or not, very much in the Eriksen mould. Brilliant when on form but if he throws a moody then the whole balance of the side does a wobbly and you're looking on the subs bench to try and save the day.
He's a luxury we can ill afford at the moment.

I think if we had Defoe while Kane was injured we’d have been much more effective. I don’t think Defoe was a world beater but he was a consistent premier league goal scorer
