Pogba was Woodward signing and both Rashford and Martial never improved one bit under him, it was all down to LvG and then Ole.
 
Maybe this whole rumor started because we went to Inter with interest in Skriniar. We low-balled as always. They come back and say they want Ndombele. We said no. And the everlasting Levy negotiations are ongoing.

Was it LvG and Woodwards brilliance that got Utd to second spot in the league behind the centurions?? Or who won the Europa League and League Cup double?

Ole is 100% a fraud.

They waited to sack Jose and appoint Ole until they had an easier run in the schedule. So of course he got off to a hot start. Then they were bang average until they got Bruno.

The problem i think we have is we can't afford top quality and Mourinho just doesnt trust younger or more unproven players so we don't seem interested in the value we could get this summer. So its seems a compromise of pretty average mid 20's, just about do a job, players like Celik. Hope i'm wrong but it all feels a bit Gerry Francis/ George Graham type links at the moment

Tagliafico, Neres, Dest, Van De Beek, even Onana would be guys I would have interest in adding from them.

I don't think that loaning Sess would work in getting them but if it makes is somewhat cheaper or just makes the relationship better.

Who the hell knows. Inter probably think the two are about equal in value. Basically all the Ndombele links have been coming out of the Italian press, which makes it feel like Inter are trying to get Levy to up his bid since it's pretty clear Levy doesn't want to sell Ndombele.

We bought Bergwijn, Sess and Clarke There are enough games to give Sess and Clarke minutes, they are both young it's not time to write them off yet.

Tagliafico is what makes this loan move interesting.

Sess isn't going to take Tagliafico's minutes. He is pretty good. There have been some rumors that Ajax are shopping him but I haven't seen too much. Chelsea were linked at one point. But if he stays, that tells me Sess is going to be playing LM/LW or as backup LB. It'll be interesting to see how he develops.

Bruno and an unsustainable run of form. United and Chelsea are good, but this idea that they will be pushing for top 2 seems far-fetched and based on cherry-picked form.

OGS/Lampard are basically just playing their best players, but that's the limit to their tactical nuance.

I don't disagree with this at all.

It also goes back to another point I made today, why is everyone insisting that every signing be a young player (not saying you are claiming this)? Like you said, we bought Sess and Clarke to hopefully be the future. But they aren't ready yet. It'd be nice to bring in a player that can play right now while Sess and Clarke leave on loan. Those two won't be ready for a couple more seasons.

Lucas and Lamela are currently the players we have in those roles. If we can find the right deals, I'm perfectly fine replacing them. And you also have to consider, by the time Sess and Clarke are ready to give us quality minutes, Son will be 30.

So I think there's certainly a balancing act. You have to bring in both young and experienced players. And get creative in how you provide them minutes.
