Transfers Summer 2020 Transfer Thread

Gotta laugh at this. One out for one in because of the squad quota for foreign players.
I don't dispute we'll take this approach.

Meanwhile Chelsea, City, United, Liverpool and even the goons just ostracize unwanted players and replace them whether they're sold or not. And that's why they win stuff and we don't.
Spot on. Its our painful approach to outgoings, the whole 1 in 1 out approach that messes us up every summer and why deals drag on and on. If you know a player is likely to leave but hasnt yet that should not bloody be preventing you from signing someone. If you cant offload said player then so what? We have an extra body in the squad. Painful fact is i dont expect anymore signings until one of Rose/Foyth/Aurier leaves.

That's Levy being a dipshit.

Won't have some one taking wages that isn't in the squad.
Won't sell them for less than more than they're worth
Won't pay market values for players we wan't
Looks dumfounded when the window closes and the squad is a fucking mess and his manager wants out.

Exactly. Have you ever heard the home grown quota cited as a reason for not signing a foreign player for any other club in Europe? I certainly haven't

Maybe if our squad hadn’t been so badly put together it wouldn’t be a problem. EVERYONE at the club/or no longer at the club bares responsibility for that. Fortunately it seems Mourinho can see like a lot of us where the squad needs improving and seems to be going about it.

We now have our own fans saying they don't want us spend big......because big signings don't work out for Spurs. Little old Spurs.

Daniel Levy must be creaming in his pants.

I want us to spend what it takes to get the right players. Not piss £60m up the wall on someone who was so badly scouted they couldn’t see he can’t complete a series of 90 minutes football matches for example. Spend a lot on quality sure, but don’t neglect the opportunistic bargains. That’s what I suspect he meant too. Hojbjerg may be one of those. You might want us to spend £50m on every player but they might not be the best ones for us as Ndombele has proved.

This is true as I have mentioned before, not all of Liverpool's team are world class such as Henderson and 1/2 others.
But they are the right pieces of their Jigsaw which allows others along with the team to flourish, maybe this is the start of something similar for us as a club although I reserve judgement.

Hopefully Aurier will go , Hopefully Foyth will go so that gives us some non-HG space in our squad

Saying that
Eze,Aarons and Wilson would all be welcome additions

My Ideal window as it stands :
Eze,Aarons,Wilson,Hojbjerg and another RB idk who I'd love Mukiele but I'll be more realistic

Also really don't see the point of getting the South Korean CB , apparently its for marketing , I mean seriously??

Worth saying that although we are paying (alledgedly) £15m plus add ons which might take the total figure to £18m for Hojbjerg, that's only because he has just one year left on his contract and wants to move to Spurs only (think he told Southampton the situation last summer or January 2020 so no surprise to them).

Otherwise he would be being sold for circa £35m/£40m/£45m/£50m if he didnt have only one year left on his contract and was adamant that Spurs was his destination I'd guess.

Its the other side of losing Eriksen for £18m when 2 years ago, with his reputation higher, his price tag might have been £80m/£100m.
