We could alternate and play Dier or Tanganga as rb with an attacking lb though.

Or a conventional 3 at the back with proper wing backs.
Or we could just have tactics...like at Porto one FB stayed back while the other one went forward. I prefer balance then this weird idea that only one FB can be attacking. Remember Rose and Walker - that was pretty full on.

And dependant on how the midfield was set up to allow it.

I'm just pointing out that there's no point discounting a link because our rb is supposedly the attacking one.

Being a forward isnt just about scoring goals - look at players like Firmino.

Costa and Suarez would be a handful for defenders and would be a nightmare to player against, making more room for our skillful finishers in Alli, Son and Kane.

I highly doubt we would sign anyone over 30 that expects 150k a week+..... Unless his name rhymes with fail.
I don't watch so much Spanish football so get my opinions from those who do and I respect. Sid low (Spanish football podcast) is saying other than his goals Suarez is now invisible, his legs are gone and he offers nothing off the ball now. He still has quality and will score a screamer but that off the ball isn't there anymore, plus he will most likely have a injury break based on the past couple of years.

Reguilon doesn’t really make sense. He’s really attacking and I’m expecting Doherty (if he signs) to be the one FB that is given license to get forward. That’s why I think Jose is happy to stick with Davies. He probably won’t cross the halfway line.
Maybe Jose wants an option to go 3 at the back with Reguilon and Doherty as wing backs in some games? He has pretty much said he doesn't think Sessegnon can do the defensive part of that job.
