Well, if it takes a brief holiday to Rome to seduce Zaniolo's mum and convince her that he absolutely has to kick up a fuss and move to Tottenham Hotspur, I for one am willing to take one for the team...

I do this with a heavy heart, but there is no need to thank me.

Well, she's no Karren Brady.

Still would, mind you.

It's not bollocks at all..... If he is as bad as suggested then surely both managers would have picked one of the other options.

GLC was fit before Poch finally let him loose.... Most here were clambering for him; getting annoyed whilst he was sat on the bench. Eriksen was still played; sometimes started. As for Skipp we've got people here who have been saying he should have been playing ahead of Sissoko for the past 18 months (Hi, Blakey!).

Caveats or not options were there for BOTH managers.

Care to answer my question from earlier today?
LOL. Well, rather than just sitting there and accepting mediocrity and finding ways to convince yourself and others that mediocrity is fine, I’d be more of the mind to go strive for more and strive to improve, and certainly not constantly put down and send smart comments to Spurs fans who do strive for more after years of mediocrity.

But hey that’s just me. You do you.

So if we bid cerca £45m for Zaniolo, at least that indicates we have a reasonable amount to spend on the right player.
I think I said it in this thread, but even with some conservative assumptions on revenue the club could net spend in the £50-75m range quite easily. Spurs spent a lot last summer, and despite what some may think it’s pretty clear the talks for Dybala were quite serious just based on what the player himself said.

Levy seems to default to the worst case scenario when it comes to revenue projections, but outside of a stadium naming rights deal he’s pretty much done every (big) thing he can for the club commercially and needs to have faith the team will perform. The bottom for Spurs in terms of revenue is still far higher than the best case for 14/20 clubs in the Prem.

Signing Reguilon would make one more options for our full-back formation. We know that Mourinho likes to leave back 3 defenders when defending so this options:

Reguilon-Tanganga(at RB)
Davies-Doherty
Davies-Gedson
Sessegnon-Toby or Dier could play there
Davies-Sissoko or Lucas

It would be exciting and logical too. Especially the first ones are pretty solid.

Makes sense I guess as they were in that five aside with the confirmed positive Argentinian player wern’t they?

I also noticed Jose said today “lots of players are not here for lots of different reasons” there was something a bit ominous about his tone:avbshock:
Haven't read anything why those 2 wasn't in the squad as well as Tanganga

What's so funny? It's a fair question..... One you're still falling short of answering.

Once again you've said fans (like myself) are "sitting there and accepting mediocrity "... I'm trying to get a lock on what you are doing that extends beyond similarly being sat at a keyboard chewing the fat on a fan forum posting "smart comments" ?

You claim to be "striving" for better, but in proactive terms what ARE you doing?

strive

  1. make great efforts to achieve or obtain something.
"national movements were striving for independence"
  2. struggle or fight vigorously.
    "scholars must strive against bias"

Several clubs have had positive tests. Not good. But once the season resumes I don’t think it’ll be a big problem. It wasn’t during the restart. But when the season ended they all went on vacation.
