I don't see anyway that Jimenez wants to come here and battle Harry Kane for playing time, most likely ending up playing mainly in Europa League and early round Cup games.

I guess he could be deluded enough to think that he could overtake Kane but that seems unlikely. It seems much better for him to stay another year at Wolves as their top guy and then look to make a big move next year, unless Mendes tells him he has no choice.

Soldado, Llorente and Janssen were all very shit. Hope that helps

Soldado can't keep a place at average Spanish/Turkish clubs, Llorente is warming up another bench doing nothing, Janssen is playing in Mexico at 26 years old.

None of that applies to them when we bought them.... They merely left in that state.

All would have been better off staying where they were which is a higher level than you describe.

Well you have missed a lot of posts then. Waste of time spending money apparently. Doesn't have anything to do with success I'll have you know!

Nobody has ever said it's a waste of time spending money. Or that it has nothing to do with success, just that success doesn't always correlate exactly to spending. See ManU v ManC or us finishing above Chelsea, Woolwich, ManC, ManU, Liverpool various times over the last few seasons.

There has always been more of a correlation between wages and success.

I'd understand if they had said waste of time spending money as we usually buy poorly or well we can't really afford it etc.

People do say that.

But no, it's a waste of time team's like Chelsea & city spending big. As though they became winners without any financial advantage helping .

You'll have to give me an example of someone saying those things, I've never seen it. In the absence of evidence I'm just going to assume you've made that up. I've never seen anyone say that money didn't play a huge part in Chelsea and City having success.

Also I notice you don't want to talk about some of those voices doing a 180 on there view of jose? Its things like that which shows the character of the people I am talking about. They base their opinions on what the club do & even do 180s to match the club.
Suprised you actually don't think anyone does that!

I didn't say no one did this. I'm happy to talk about it. I do think some fans do this. I don't like it much either. I don't mind people saying "I don't like (or rate) the bloke but I'll give him a chance to see what he does, but I don't have much time for people who've actually spent years cunting him off and now claim he's spunkbread. But this more about misguided loyalty to Spurs than to ENIC/Levy IMO.

It's like people said it would be wrong & a mistake if we signed nobody. Then we didn't, they said thats all cool. I guess you didn't read those posts either

Anyone who said it was good we didn't sign anyone in 2018 is wrong. Anyone who said Poch meant don't sign anyone, was talking bollocks. But some don't think it was purely about Levy not wanting to spend money.

Anyway, seems like you think no one changes their mind & matches it up with what the club do. Where as I & many other's do. We have seen it in back & white.

I haven't said no one ever changes their mind ever and for spurious reasoning, I was disagreeing with some of the sweeping generalisations you were making. You were painting a big sector of fans who were cheering whatever ENIC/Levy do, and claiming they are happy if we don't spend loads of money. The very vast majority don't, they just understand why that is sometimes.

As stupid as fans changing their minds just because of their misguided allegiances are fans that constantly whine and have tantrums about stuff without rationalising why some of that stuff happens.

That's not to say there aren't plenty of things that merit complaint, just rationalise it at least and don't make stuff up.

Totally Disagree with you, & obviously you the same with me. :wall:we are both hitting our heads against a brickwall. We both made our points & see it very differently. So I will be respectfully bowing out. Good day to you sir.

The signings have made us worse, and we haven't even seen Hart yet! And we let our most promising young player go on loan when all that was ahead of him was dogshit. And to top that we've given average players like Dier long contracts. This has been a shit show of a window and we're probably fucked a left clinging to the hope of a EL run.

Mourinho without world class players all over the pitch is pretty useless.
