Well, the player has to agree to the move even if they activate the clause. So if he's happy, or simply doesn't want to be used as a pawn by Real, he can always turn it down.
You're mistaking buy-back with first refusal. buy-back is baked in the purchase cake. See the Alvaro Morata deal from Juve for evidence. The player is obligated to go back if RM activate/satisfy the clause.

Spoiler warning : Cadbury World is shit. Just go to Slough Trading Estate and smell the Mars factory, more fun.
Better yet you can come round my way and smell freshly baked biscuits in the morning from the Mcvities factory. Absolute heaven waking up and smelling that.

If I remember correctly SpiderSpurs SpiderSpurs knows it well.

As much as Dele has been a bit up and down I’d rather see him stay at the club.
I am tentatively agreeing with you, but the baked beans thing made me lose a lot of sympathy. I was hoping he was joking, it's so hard to tell with these editorial narratives (that's he's an overpaid idiot). He seems quite switched on in some conversations. But it's easy to imagine that it really is the first time he's done anything for himself. In which case, wtf is he saving his energy and focus for? Fortnite? getting blowies?!

Hmm, can't argue with the last one.

Think both Bale & Reguilon would improve our team... but one is gonna be on loan and the other will go back to Real if successful - not exactly building for the future.
Yep.

Reguillon is Madrid paying us 15-20m to develop their player. If he's that good, they'll buy him back to compete with their current LB or sell him on for an enormous fee.

You can sort of see why United wanted no part of that deal.
