Try naming a worse set of central defenders in the top 8... Just not good enough. If we go for 3 atb we NEED a top central defender who can pass and dribble past the first line of pressing.
Chelsea, Woolwich, everyone at Liverpool not named Van Djik...United have good CBs? City would have to buy one...

No one in the top 6/8 has a solid, lock down starting pair right now.

Yep.

Reguillon is Madrid paying us 15-20m to develop their player. If he's that good, they'll buy him back to compete with their current LB or sell him on for an enormous fee.

You can sort of see why United wanted no part of that deal.
Wasn't it 35m next year and 40m in two years for the buy back clause? That's nothing if the fee is 25-30m as well.

Should be 50-60m buy back imo

Honestly think Pep would coach Winks into a better player. Simply adding more progressive passing to his game will be an improvement. I can't see how our coaches or Winks himself can't see this. Mourinho refers to this in the doc. He says he was lateral passer before he arrived but now thinks he has improved his range. Da fuq is he watching?

Our facilities might be world-class but I've not seen anything in the past several years to suggest that we are significantly developing players' technical skills, just their fitness. I bet Winks would benefit from a manager like Pep with an actual track record for developing young talent.

We don't need CBs who can dribble- just CBs who can make smart decisions and pass the ball efficiently. CBs that can actually dribble to any success are a complete rarity.
