I think it's a nice way of him saying that he has a lot of shit players that want to play games but he doesn't think they're good enough to get in the side (Rose.)
I would say in an ideal world; Foyth(regrettably), Rose, Sessegnon, Sissoko(hopefully) CCV, Gedson, Lamela/Lucas and quite possibly Dele if we got a good offer should all be gone before the end of the window.
It would streamline the squad so much.

Not as much as some others on this forum. Only about 20 odd times over the last few seasons. Good positionally, but not the quickest.
I'd love that just doesn't seem a Levyesque risk, does it?
Sanchez is better than Toby right now, IMO. Despite Sanchez’s occasional (too often) mental mistakes, Toby gets straight beaten too often now.
Is that really true? I know he was extremely highly rated 2 years ago but heard he was average-to-good last year.

I feel like most clubs release info like this, Spurs have been talking about needing to sell to buy, and then all of a sudden in one week they spend 45-50m on Reguilon and Bale with no outs. Woolwich were releasing that they had a 40m transfer budget in Summer 2019 and their net transfer spend was like 80m+.
Part of me wonders if Levy was hesitant for this 'rebuild' that Pochettino was talking about simply because we finished in the top 4 four consecutive seasons and we got to a Champions League final. But seeing how the team played last season + how we looked against Everton (and maybe now Plovdiv), he's seeing that the team needs reinforcements and isn't good enough on its own.
Maybe we have already inked a massive stadium naming rights deal that will be announced later. Big naming rights requires a world class stadium in a world class city with world class stars.
What about the green and white ones :townhmm:

I am not enamored with slow CBs. I don’t like Toby and Dier together. Need at least one CH with pace.
We could certainly afford to trim the fat.... The tricky part is juggling the HG-stuff.

I agree with most of that. Sessegnon won't be sold because he's a project. Nor will Dele because of who he is. Also, I think it will be one of Lucas or Lamela and I sincerely hope it's Lamela. I've disliked his football from the very start and I can't stand another season of him
