RM asked for 300k, and reportedly we're paying 9M as a loan fee.

9M would be the difference between 220kpw and 300kpw over the remaining two years.

So, supposing we have a club option to extend the loan to the second season, Madrid gets the difference in our lower wages below their asking price paid as a fee all up front, but Spurs get the ability to end the loan after one season if it doesn't work out, and then Madrid would already be holding the money to loan him out again at the lower Spurs rate.

Plus Bale, even though he's obviously paid massively more than anyone at Spurs ever, doesn't TECHNICALLY bust up our wage structure.

A sensible deal all around.

Eastenders, Coronation Street... They are on at 19:30-20:30 for a reason = time when most have finished work and eaten.

Here we go!

Nah, there is no chance that we will spend that amount of money on a centre-back this window. Won't surprise me if he ends up at a club like Real Madrid sooner or later.

I also noticed that you are a Porto fan so it doesn't come as a suprise that you are one of the very few people that doesn't really rate Ruben Dias.

like i said, i didnt said he wouldnt be an upgrade for what tottenham as now. i said he has to change some things, because he is to hard tackling with is arms and things like that. If he is able to change that, he would be better, but he is not worth 45 million euros , and i honestly dont think he will end up in a team like Real Madrid...i wish him all good, we need good center backs in the portuguese national team

The £9m is wages - £220k per week until the loan ends on 6/30/21 from today. Unless that is what you are saying...

£9m for this season one way or another is the way I am reading it.

Bale has been headline sports news all day today. I reckon if they wait until tomorrow now, it'll be headline all day tomo.
