The move makes zero sense for us considering he sucks, doesn't improve the squad, doesn't offer anything we need and he sucks. Plus he doesn't even seem to be cheap. I guess the HG factor is a plus but that is the only plus.

I wouldn't be surprised if Jose wants him but would be shocked if we added him or even considered adding him.

Mate what do you think of Jonathan Tah? He looked like he was going to the real deal. But he stalled badly

If anyone is not going to venture an answer on why the lack of real enthusiasm for Diop i'll field it. Seen him loads and live four times over the last couple of years. He has injury issues, he is physically imposing and has games where he looks a potentially world class cb...he also ball watches and can lose focus. He is basically Davinson Sanchez but he is marginally less easy to bully, and is better with ball. In my opinion he is better than Eric Dier and now level with Toby however him and Sanchez would be a disaster because they have the same flaws and need a leader beside them. I'd take him to replace Eric Dier but I think that CB is such a problem I want a way better potential leader.
 
Skriniar and Dias could both help with our chronic inability to deal with set pieces and 2nd balls in the box, but I’d rather see someone quicker across the ground. Kabak is an outstanding prospect.

I think Davinson Sanchez is a player we should be looking to see if there's any serious interest in...
I like aspects of his game, but the overall package just isn't there, and I don't think he's ever going to be an elite level centre back. He's still an extremely average defender with a mistake per game in him and he is absolutely hopeless on the ball. Add this to the fact that he's probably our highest rated centre back in terms of market value, if we bring in Skriniar then I think he should be sacrificed....

*Disclaimer* Obviously in an ideal world, Eric Dier would be my preferred CB to get rid of, but i) nobody would be stupid enough to buy him and ii) Mourinho absolutely adores him for some reason, so we may as well talk about things that actually could happen as opposed to pure fantasy....

Sure you can just chuck a rusty Lucas, Bergwijn or Lamela up there, but it's hard enough to shake off bench-rust as it is without being in a less than familiar position.

God forbid Kane gets an injury with that kind of schedule.
