I'd prioritize getting Milik in over Skriniar. But that's just me.
Levy will use this window to our advantage if he can. Deflated prices and possible bargains, with a 50% uplift and more in a year's time.
That said failure once again to address the striker issue and now what is fast becoming a central defensive issue would be detrimental to us. No doubt about that for me.
Mourinho absolutely believes that strikers obviously must score goals but that they must also be physical. Look at the list. Dtogba, Costa, Lukaku and Kane. Not a coincidence.
He knows losing Kane does not necessarily stop goals from going in but stops the physical edge such strikers bring, notwithstanding a defensive loss.
No more excuses in not finding a 2nd striker.

I imagine spurs have a clear idea on revenue for the next five years, they’ve run projections, taking Covid and its impact into account.
Levy has now smelt blood and knows some clubs are exposed and the market is the lowest it has been in years.
Buying players in this market does two things, firstly it gives the manger and team a chance and secondly it's a once in a lifetime saving on acquisitions. Players who where £60m 12 months ago are now £45m, this across 2-3 players is a huge saving. What we have to do is loan and not sell our fringe players unless they are a makeweight, then in 12 months sell them as confidence starts to return.
I also think this year/cycle there is less competition in the market so we're more likely to get the targets we want rather than having to go down a level. With all these reasons combined I feel there is a very good business and football justification for what we are doing.

My complaints are always the same about ENIC, one trophy in 20 years, scouting and recruitment needs improving. You are on the other hand are happy about ENIC but still rant and rave about Poch.

All that is irrelevant to the fact that if we improve the squad and sign a striker today and a CB next week, you will still moan, because “it should have been done already”
I won’t see you celebrating if Chelsea sign Mbappe on deadline day though and claiming it’s “too late” to have an impact.
The window is open and I’m not sure why you’re still banging on about a striker if signing one makes no difference now to you.

Has Bale not deputised as a striker effectively in the past? I'm not saying we wouldn't benefit from one but if Bale can fill this role maybe he turns out to be a very good utility player filling in deeper, winger and forward positions when needed?
It doesn't matter how much the players costs if we can recoup that money (or better).
Ings seems a smart buy. 25-30m. Reasonable salary. Bags of Prem experience and there will be a queue out the door of prem teams who will want to buy him next summer.
Question is, will Saints bow to pressure on deadline day? Now that fans are out of stadiums for what could be the rest of the season; teams income streams are devastated and they need money to operate.
