Let's be welcoming please
I’ve come for a different experience & perspective. It’s quite funny reading the ‘hate’ of SC. Good to see thinktank thinktank , bus-conductor bus-conductor and ValenciaYid ValenciaYid again. Always enjoyed their posts previously. I’ve joined here in good faith; if I wanted to be a ‘tool’ I’d have used a different username. All the same, glad to be here

Mate, the collapse started, firmly, Burnley away Feb 2019, it was already in progress that whole season, but the wall was struck Burnley, think the high training + intensity burned them all out, as it was a collective drop. After that game (which preceded a 2 week break, where I remember virtually praying Poch would sun n recover them to the max, but they came out soulless zombies), then on we didn't win Away until Mourinho, somehow Poch talks stimulated their exhausted adrenals to perform second half very often, the CL produced it's own stimulant to them and relight their collective fire, but it was a beautiful dying flicker of the flame.

I loved Poch, but he became dogmatic (when not getting players or squad turnover, if he had een denied such, he had to scale down the intensity demand on those serving 2+ years with him, he clearly never did.

Such is life. Toby looks low oxygen to me, a historical diet too high in processed fats, lacking high enough N3 to compensate, tough to pull that around in your 30's.

Zest Zest You love all this diet stuff... Might have to tap you up for advice on how to take my cycling to the next level!

Feast your eyes on this and for the sound, turn that way way way down low. So low it is off.

Like most highlights packages he looks like an immovable object in defence. Some say Bruno Fernandes is already rolling around the floor holding his ovaries in anticipation.

Looks like an intelligent cunt to me. :mourthumb:

is he actually that slow or does his height/long stride make him look slower than smaller players?

Plenty of N’Players signed indeed. I remember Hoddle, Jol, Ramos, AVB and Redknapp being really happy with the standard of players signed through the years.

I really don’t get the Poch hate; guy took us to a CL final and our best league finish since ‘63. Smashing Real, Utd, City and Liverpool along the way (while moving stadium).

He made me feel proud of my club again after years of ineptitude. People talked about us as contenders for the first time in my life. At least now it looks like the owners are prepared to properly back a manager.

60% of the time you’re wrong every time.

I dont hate Poch, very much the opposite. Nothing wrong with criticising things he got wrong in his time though is there?

What I like most is that he seems to really relish defending. He is all arms and legs when he run thoughs, looks a little awkward.

Just looking at the clips of Skriniar he looks like a beast of a guy, but looks like he reads the game very well. Also it looks like when playing in a 3 he was deployed on the left of the 3 quite a lot when he is clearly right footed which may explain why Conte isn't playing him. He looks quite quick for a guy of his size and also looks like he gets his tackles I early due to his good reading of the game, definitely an upgrade on what we have
