It's a cobbled together team with a cobbled together formation. There's maybe 4 regular starters (including Lloris) and seven other dudes.
Not sure why we send young strikers out on loan before we get a back up striker in here first. Surely Parrott would have been better than no cf at all
Interestingly, if you break down the passage of play leading to the goal after Reguilon's cock up, there are two or three moments we could have easily defended it with a bit of luck.
- If Reguilon stayed on his feet
- if the pass to Werner gets intercepted (Gedson almost blocks it)
- if Werner's shot is off target or gets blocked by the several players between him and goal
Despite that they've created very little. It's not an awful performance by us defensively. If/when Kane comes on and helps our attack we might just be in for a pleasant surprise.
