A large percentage of the Boro support against Newcastle was made up of Tottenham and Woolwich fans who lived local.
A mate of mine got his claim to fame by being shown on all the TV channels covering the match as the fella who rugby tackled and bear hugged the Boro mascot on the pitch at the final whistle. He's a Yid, my mate, not the mascot.

Yeah think all boro supporters back then had them as their 2nd club.

Used to watch them as a kid and would literally be playing football behind the goal knocking our ball onto the pitch and asking the GK to kick it back.
