I also hate it when people say we should just play academy players. That's seriously underestimating the opponent's who've already won 5 matches to get to this round and risks us getting knocked out.
As far as I'm concerned we should be playing every game with the aim of winning it, helping out the club can be done off the field. We can respect them and let them enjoy their day, but we should still be aiming to win.

Reading earlier that Marine have lost out on over £100k in gate receipts and sponsorship due to lack of fans through this cup run. The extra 15k that bought virtual tickets have more than made up for that loss. Great thing to see.
It's been a annoyance for years for me the patronising way people speak about these smaller teams that get to the later stages of cup competitions. Yes it's a lovely story but they've got there on merit, not won a raffle down the boozer.
Also that rotund keeper that was shown eating a pie on TV was paid to do it by Paddy Power he was sacked for misconduct I think.

I'll be pissed off if we lose, and for the club and supporters it will be a huge embarrassment. Yes it would be a fairytale story for Marine and I certainly wouldn't begrudge them enjoying their time in the spotlight, but let's just thrash them and move on.
