So Laurent Blanc really is a "faggot", and sucks Ibrahimovoc's cock ?

I never knew that, thanks for putting me right.

:mourfacepalm:
For french people , any coach can win the L1 with PSG and win the 2-3 others national competitions .
They are too rich and the difference is too big. The TV right are too weak to help the small club + DNCG.
Imagine the PL with just MU + 19 Norwitch .....

My Granny could win the league with PSG................and she's been dead 40 years.

But it doesn't address the issue of Aurier calling Blanc a "faggot".

This is a fair point you make but I'd ask why would you give him something when he's done nothing, and I mean nothing, to show that he's improved or is succeeding with what he already has? Investing further would suggest satisfaction with how htings are going.
I'm trying to be balanced because I think we're stuck with him until at least 2022 and I don't want to drive myself crazy spending every game day cursing him and wanting him gone. Agree his tenure has been mostly poor performances and don't see much he's done with us to merit his salary (except perhaps good attention given to cup competition). Whoever the coach is we need something along the lines of Aarons, Sabitzer, Skriniar and Ings in the summer to have a group of 15/16 that can challenge for top 3.

I simply don't get the logic of deriding the CL final, the biggest final this Club has ever played in its entire history. A really shit game of football conducive to most games of this magnitude and any game played a month after a season had ended and in 90-degree heat. Going into the game we were massive underdogs, playing against the 2nd best team in the World having lost just one league game all season, finishing 2nd in the league by one point to the best team in the world and the only team who beat them that season. A team that had finished 26 points above us. We were the better of the two poor performances that day, the MOTM was their goalkeeper (although I thought the saves he made were routine).

It's not about a "soft underbelly", I'd have back in a heartbeat the spirit we showed that took us all the way to the final. We got there because of our spirit, it's what we fell back on as our football was on the decline on account of our high-press was no longer being sustained (for a variety of reasons both in and out of our control) and a central midfield that was crocked.

We are a TODAY a terribly coached team.
Take your point about Liverpool's form, but there's no doubt about it they were well off their best that day and put in a poor performance by their standards. And how often has the team that's second best on paper played out of their skin and won in a cup final? If we had played well in the final we would have won it - in fact, we might have won even if we hadn't had played to the best of our ability. I thought Poch's comments before the match about leaving struck totally the wrong note and didn't match the occasion and it wouldn't surprise me if it unsettled some of the players. I can always accept being beaten by the better team but I felt at the time the CL final was a huge missed opportunity and I in hindsight I feel that even more strongly. We did brilliantly to get there though and I agree entirely quite a few of those matches we won because of our spirit, not necessarily because we were better.

Today I am concerned about the coaching of the team and I question whether JM is the right person to turn it around.

“According to The Independent, Mourinho had four pointers for Levy which effectively saw him land the position.

The first was that Mourinho has been working extensively on developing a new strategy over the past 11 months to map out his new-look philosophy.”

I just can’t see it, Jose.

He could have put Toby at CB and Davies at LWB.
A left footed player playing on the left.
Simple.

Leaving Dav and Doherty on the bench as cover
Toby didn't look convincing against Wycombe and would likely disrupt the back 3. He is also right footed and would likely need to play deeper to make up for his lack of pace.

Doherty played RWB, so except for not being left footed, he would seem the most logical choice.

Whoever played there was always going to be an issue as there was no training session left to try things out. Doherty confined the problem to only one position. Moving people around might have propagated it to multiple positions.

& if I hear one person say that this is the only way you can play with the players we have (internationals, international captains, cup winners, players who reached a CL final and were in Prem title races) then you are an even bigger victim to Jose's horseshit than Levy is. There are teams with worse players in this and other leagues who put together much better football.

Some people need this stapled to their heads.

Not one person on this forum would want West Ham's squad nor their manager, but watch them play football.

So much better than anything we've served up since Mourinho has been here.

Christ, I saw Seville score a goal in the week that, after watching a year of this nonsense, seemed like a different fucking sport entirely.

If the new philosophy consisted of half-time bust-ups, icing players out because of criticism towards him and a new backline every matchday, then he is doing very well

My vote remains yes ... I’m still just in the back Jose camp

but seriously the more I see the more I believe he’s Moyes with charisma

Like moyes..... who had a reputation amongst Evertonions for bizarre defensive subs... Jose seems equally bizarre and negative

needs to sort himself out quick smart

I have supported his appointment and tried to defend things but, as long as he persists with such mediocre players, I'm going to lose faith he knows what to do.
You cannot keep playing the players he picks every week and expect things to change.
Either pick and play Dele or sell him and use the money.
Stop picking Winks, he's shit.
Buy a top class CB at whatever cost. Levy must known Dier is a useless waste of a squad space.
Moura is done.
Aurier, Doherty, Davies all need to be moved on.

1 of 3 things is going on here.
Mourinho is too confident he can get this mediocrity within the squad to improve. He can't.
He believe's they're good enough and can't see how bad they are.
He has been told there isn't any money and he can only sell them for X amount of money.

All 3 scenarios lead him and us to struggle.

It’s not just down to a few poor players. Jose said after last night’s game that “you cannot win football matches with (individual) mistakes like that..”.
For an individual mistake to happen there first had to be a tactical team mistake to put the individual in that position. For a defender to be in a position to make a mistake we first have to lose possession and the defensive midfield has to have let the attackers through.
I hope Jose doesn’t just write the loss off to an individual, otherwise the glaring tactical problems will not get addressed.
