Manager Jose Mourinho

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Out. The Jose Mourinho of yesteryear is dead. Either that or football has just evolved, making his brand of ultra-defensive, ineffective, counter-attacking dogshit obsolete.

Bring in Harry Redknapp for the rest of the season. Fuck it, bring in Gary Glitter. I don’t give a fuck. If I have to watch one more minute of this abomination then I’m going to gouge my eyes out with a rusty, AIDS-ridden spoon.
It's not defensive, counter attacking football that's dead (Cholo Simeone abd Conte). It's Mourinho that's not the same that he was 10 years ago...

Changed my vote to "No"

Every team loses games games, but for too long now we have not shown any fight, passion or attacking intent.
Boring, tepid, cowardly football.

I predict that the "Levy Out" brigade will be in full force but, come on, you can't blame the above on him.
Levy took a gamble on a former serial winner manager note the word former.
The gamble has not paid off and the club look to be in free fall again, so yes it's time for levy to bite the bullet and get rid of him.

No one giving him credit for beating all those Champo teams in the cup. Typical biased media!

The worry for me mate is how long before he starts getting really toxic in the media and drags the whole club down, he has previous with this, it's in his nature, you accept it when you're winning things but we aren't and make no mistake, it is coming.

I actually think these kind of deflections are how it starts, little digs at players, falling out, not taking blame for results.

Only going to get worse from here.

You're wrong.

I'll go through each player:

Lamela - squad player and decent to have in right circumstances. He gives 100% every game just can't stay injury free.

Sissoko - squad player, good to have again. Not a starter.

Winks - similar to sissoko, squad player.

Dier - having a good season, needs a good CB next to him, he's not the main man. Think Liverpool we need Van Dijk, Dier is the man next to him.

Sanchez - good playe, confidence is shot. He played well when poch was around for me.

Lo Celso - injured a lot and entered at a bad period, needs more time for me.

Lucas - I like him, he's never going to be the main man but he needs confidence, hardly playing right now again not someone you can say is just poor.

Davies - again back up for me.

Aurier - for me a good player, plays very well at times. Good going forward, he's not the issue. Look how poor we were today without him and Reguilon, worst we've been all season.

This is a great squad of players and most of the team you mentioned aren't starters under a fully fit team

The issue is Mourinho plain and simple.

Don't disagree about Mourinho, but no matter him all those players need to go (very few exceptions as Winkys holds a HG and Lo Celso may develop a bit, but all the others should be transfer listed already).

I want this guy out now, we have such a good footballing squad, we have a manager that is actually negating our talent.
I don't fully get where is this optimism coming from :D

"such a good footballing squad" - where ? :D We have literally 2 capable CM's (Hjojberg and Ndombele) and 2 players who are able to score goals (Kane and Son). We have 0 reliable defensive players. I realized it like a week ago, but we are massively overestimating the quality in our side now.

I agree that we should never look as bad as we did tonight and there also has to be issue with confidence + understanding the roles. But in fact my biggest question regarding his sacking is - who would make this bunch of players to perform? I have no names to offer who could win with playing 5 guys against 11 :D

I think we'd all agree that this club and it's position in the Premier League started changing when Martin Jol took charge. So here, have a look at our position in the league after 20 games every year since Martin Jols first full season ranked in order of our best seasons to our last.

That is where Jose's Tottenham stand right now. From the moment we started really challenging for a top four place in the Premier League to present day.

Only 3 worse seasons - and in 3 of those, our manager got sacked and replaced mid way through a season.

Maybe but no fucking way is that team tonight not good enough to beat Brighton. That's got to be down to the manager. The squad is better than what we saw tonight that's for sure.
Yep. The result win lose or draw isn't even the relevant bit of it really.

It's performance that shows the problems. Compare the two teams, you have Brighton putting patterns and combos together and releasing someone on a one-two or third man run, then without the ball squeezing us and making it difficult to play through.

Then look at us. Ultra basic one-off passes with no rhyme or reason. Just individuals doing their own thing. No patterns to the play, no ideas, no quality. Without it we're wide open, chasing shadows (if players do bother to chase back) and for long spells they could just stroll up to and into our penalty area.

That's the damning aspect, the total lack of tactics, plans, patterns, whatever you want to call it.

Individuals need to do better, much better, without a doubt. Some shouldn't have a future here. But what is the script they're working from as to how to go about their work and use as the foundations? It's fucking non-existent.

How long?

Tuesday when he can chuck Levy under the bus for not signing 5 players in the transfer window

I just think some of them can get better for me. The likes of Sanchez can refind form, Winks and Lo Celso as you mentioned.

I look at it like this, if Lucas went to a mid table team, he'd score 10 plus in a season if they stuck with him and he was a main man in my opinion. Footballs opinions end of the day some things are certain but people see different things in players.

For what it's worth don't think any of the ones you mentioned would start in my ideal spurs 11 from who we have. Aurier would, Dier also

I couldn't stand him as our manager, he was useless but I'll have him back to replace Jose in a heartbeat (small interim contract as before and have him banned from being a dick in press confs as a clause). I am deadly serious, at least he tried to get his teams up the pitch.

Sherwood, that was a crazy period although his football was a 100 times more fun than AVB’s. I actually enjoyed it in comparison, AVB made my eyes bleed, this is similar.
