Who are they? Not Jason Cundy?
One of them is Tommy Langley.

Never seen such all round technical composure at good pace in a youth game.

Usually it is us being pulled all over the shop by Chelsea in games I've seen before.

6 - 1 final score.

Strange to hear the Chelsea commentators calling for the final whistle about 15 minutes from the end, desperately worried that it might get to 7 or 8.... and it could have been with several opportunities such as Whitaker missing from a yard out and a great save from the Chelsea goalkeeper.

Probably almost total domination of the match bar about 10 minutes before their goal when they were already 5 down.

Even Chelsea commentators saying Spurs were far the better side by the end.

Is it policy to have physically larger guys or just coincidence?

Great to watch the youngsters, we really haven't seen that much of the Academy Year 1 group for a while - and they are possibly our best year group for a good few years. This side a mix of year 1 and year 2.

Dane Scarlett and Alfie Devine obviously the best known of the Year 1, winger Rochaun Mathurin less known but he's probably the 3rd best of that year group (Hackett another didn't play), First sighting of Jez Davies still only 16.

Players who caught the eye from Year 2 include Marques Muir (CB) and also his partner Maksim Paskotsi, I was expecting a little more from Dermi Lusala (RB) who looked great for most of last season, whilst the Craig twins and Romain Mundle looked decent as well.... in fact there were no poor performances at all.

Chelsea probably have the 2nd best academy in uk, a little behind Man City, with Spurs, ManU, Woolwich, Liverpool in a fairly tight group a little behind Chelsea - but it looks like the quality of this u18 group is well above Chelsea.

Spurs also looked well organised, which has to be down to Matt Taylor and his coaching which is good to see

Great news for the future though all round

Usually Spurs have had smaller players, but we seem to have a few bigger players in this side - but its more the skill which is striking, and you will note whilst Spurs have bigger players such as Scarlett at the end even the Chelsea commentators said Spurs were just a better side (no comments at end on size).

Someone on SC saying this team is short of quite a few of their main players. Would that be right.
Having said that they are still behind us in the league which does not normally happen.

Be very surprised if Mathurin doesn't make it at Prem level, he's got that intent and technique, if he lacks the burst perhaps to set him apart (could develop that with the right gym time).

Hoped he'd step it up once Devine went off, he seemed to do so, we regained our dominance as well (though the goals also probably prompted that as Chelsea's heads dropped at 5-1/6-1 a little).

With Sessegnon and Skipp out on loan, plus this group, we are stacked if we want to cull the first team of overseas in the next 3-4 years. Would love us to just buy cream (18-23) and integrate youth going forward.

These guys need to see a path.
