Youth Spurs Youth 2020/21

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Someone on SC saying this team is short of quite a few of their main players. Would that be right.
Having said that they are still behind us in the league which does not normally happen.

I'm not familiar enough with Chelsea youth to know.

But the Chelsea commentators were full of stories of some of their players scoring several wonderful goals in previous matches and familiar with the individual players - no mention of xyz being missing at all.

And comments at the end were that Spurs were too good - even abandoned the 'referee shouldn't have given a goal' or 'surely that was a foul' as they had been commenting in the first hour ......and no mention of missing players.

Worth commenting Spurs were missing a couple of players such as Jordan Hackett (LB) and often captain of England u17's too. It happens.

There's no international tournaments on so I'd have thought Chelsea fielded many/most of their best players, even if they were trying out others (although no comment from Chelsea commentators saying that).

Either way it was 6 - 1 and could have been in double figures so dominant were Spurs, and Chelsea commentators totally confident at the start of the match.

That Mathurin and Devine are Chelsea and Liverpool rejects, says all we need to know of the talent pool circling around right now.

Worth saying that before lockdown we got to see bits of what is now Spurs u16's and they are thought to be have players of a similar calibre to the year above (now Academy Year One).

Seven of them capped at E u15 or u16, which is a good sign :

Luke Gunter (GK) - E u15. Signed a 3 year scholarship at Spurs in June, very early
Alfie Dorrington (CB) - often E u15 captain, signed a 3 year scholarship at Spurs in June 2020 - very early.
Brandon Bryan-Waugh (CB) E u16
Tom Bloxham midfielder E u15
Billy Heaps midfielder E u16
Owen Riley (CAM) E u15
Jamie Donley (E u15 and N Ireland u16 striker).

Jamie Donley has already played and scored at Spurs u18 level....as a 15 year old.

Looks like Chelsea might need to get used to being second best at u18 level !

Full match. first couple of minutes and at HT are Chelsea related but best avoided - other than they suggest Chelsea will win. Also ignore comments from commentators for first 75 minutes - after that its a fear that it might be a 7 or 8 goal hiding which is quite entertaining
