I don’t disagree but it’s critical the infamous 5 are all binned - Davies, Doherty, Winks, Sissoko and Dier. None are good squad players and all 5 cost us games time and time again

Defender makes a mistake - costs us the game

We never judge attackers in the same way. How about 3 chances missed by Kane and Dynamo - did he cost us the game?

A couple of your injuries and your starting 11 could include Sess, Tangaga, Rodon, Skipp, Hart and Bergjwin. Maybe in 2 or 3 seasons time; but not good enough right now.

I think Skriniar will cost way too much and isn't close to what people think. He is not world class or close to guys like VVD, Dias etc. Not at the level of Toby and Jan at their peak either.

I wasn't impressed with Milenkovic last year but haven't seen enough of him to make a great assessment of him, especially lately.

Vestergaard , out of all of them., we should avoid. Looks slow, clumsy and although he tries to play out with the ball, he gets himself into a mess at times.
Definite pass for me.
 
Going through our squad in along with the homegrown rule and I see a few issues. You need a minimum of 8 players homegrown and some of the players we think are likely to leave or we don't want here are on that list. Hart, Winks, Bale, Kane, Alli, Whiteman, Davies, Rodon

Of that list you imagine the goalkeepers will remain unchanged, 2 places. Kane, Davies and Rodon will be here, 3 places.

Bale probably gone
Winks probably gone
Alli probably gone

Sessengon and Skipp are currently 20 so not sure if they can fill these spots should they come back next season.

What I'm getting at is I wouldnt be surprised to see us buy an English player this summer to fill the quota.

Realistically, a squad won't get rid off all the players we want to see gone in one window unfortunately but we need to get the homegrown list sorted out before we even look elsewhere otherwise Winks is going nowhere, for example.

I think it’s worse than that mate.

Davies and Rodon don't qualify for HG in European football.
 
Isn't Ings out of contract pretty soon? He's been linked with Man City. I'd take him. You could play Kane deeper, like a number 10. Could save us some money, something I don't believe we'll have a lot of this summer even if we sell a few players. He's head and shoulders better than Vinicius, even though the latter has done well enough at times.

A top centre-back and a creative midfielder is a must though. And by creative I mean someone who actually gets assists in the way the likes of Fernandes, Foden and Ward-Prowse do for their clubs.

I don't think HG is a problem even if we sell Davies, Doherty, Alli, Winks.

The PL & EL squad max limit is 25, and if we breach HG rules by a few players we'll have a max of 22-23. But then there are unlimited U21s allowed in both competitions.
So we could have 22 players over 21yo, and then add Skipp, Sessegnon, Scarlett to make it 25.
