That´s the second after the phone call, where he said NO THANKS
The longer this goes on, the more I think Levy is going to appoint Mason
There is nothing wrong with spending to succeed my point is Conte will want to compete with man city, Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool in order to win the title and rightly so, I just don't think Levy will provide the necessary funding and freedom for him to buy the players he will need. This will result in tensions between the two imo. I'd love to be proved wrong but....This idea that some managers like to spend money and some don't is silly.
Top managers are ambitious, Conte has no interest in fighting for fourth every year when he could be winning titles elsewhere. Better results requires a better squad, a better squad requires significant investment. Ipso facto, it's definitional.
Tottenham Hotspur Football Club is going nowhere without spending eye-watering sums in the transfer market going forward. That is table stakes to being a club that's even safely clear of the relegation zone in the Premier League.
Luckily, we are the 9th richest club in the world, have a stadium that is one of the best revenue generators in the sport, and showed clear intent to spend big before Covid came and shook our world up.
Covid of course remains a confounding variable for us and everyone else. But putting that to one side, Tottenham should be seen as a very well funded project. If the kind of investment we saw in Summer 2019 is the new normal, it's just a matter of putting the right personnel in place.
Hard to avoid these days, they've employed just about every bloke in Europe with a coaching badge.
Repost but with a little added language. Still not sure about this Italian paper
He is SO young !He is a far better manager than Jose but he is still a short term 1-2 year type manager and unless we are going balls out in the transfer market (which I seriously doubt) it doesn’t fix our underlying issues.
Sad to say but we need a project type manager right now to rebuild our brittle foundations. For me someone like Rangnick would be more suitable for a long term approach.
Lets be positive, its the first name that has got me interested !Conte is one of the best managers in the world, I just can’t see him coming here
Just won the title with Inter, will want a stab at champions league with them
His Chelsea links are also a worry although I get the feeling he hates them after his sacking
If we could pull it off it would be unbelievable news but it’s a very very difficult one
They haven't done so bad !Hard to avoid these days, they've employed just about every bloke in Europe with a coaching badge.
His football is mostly shite too. He's basically a relevant Mourinho clone. But will not deny that he knows how to set a team up and get them playing results football. He is. He gets the best out of teams, he is just a wild man though and his relationship with Levy won’t last more than 2 years.

It was Levy’s fault. What was the story behind Inter's poor performance in the CL this season?
Rodgers would be a good manager, I'm sure of that, but I can't shake the feeling that he'd get top 4 maybe and that'd be that. I really think Leicester have a good structure/recruitment that may be flattering him right now.I think Levy has all his chips on Rodgers coming. He'll make him a very tempting offer, and sell the club to him. TBH we should be pulling out everything to get him, as he is the best of the rest in my opinion. The likes of Pep, Klopp, Zidane aren't coming here.. Poch wont be back yet, and the others aren't as good as Rodgers.
Personally think he'd be foolish to leave Leicester, although we are bigger and are just waiting for the right man.. He already has that platform at Leicester, and is safe in his job.
I’m blown away by the knowledge this man has. Also his English is great. If you got time, worth listening.
I think him as DoF would do wonders to the club. Make it happen Levy :mourpoint:

The question is he would use his 3-4-3 from his Chelsea days, or his 3-5-2 that he uses at Inter.

Sessegnon and Aurier (should he stay) as well. And Davies can drop into the 3 at the back to make room for Sess.
honestly........ whoever comes in will have someone against himConte obviously has a ton of results in his past but is such a blah choice. I would not be excited in the least to hear that he is coming and it would be a real bad sign for the club going forward.
That said there haven't been any credible links and it likely is all just posturing from his side to get more money out of Inter.
