Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

seems too obsessed with getting his goals and assist stats up imo. seen him try to hit hollywoods a lot this year when a simple 5 yard pass to a player in a better position can make the pass hes looking to make a lot easier. our midfield and forwards have been poor all year in terms of actually keeping the ball moving and making the correct decisions on the ball though.

will be sad to see him go but if thats whats needed to have the rebuild then so be it. he may not be as much to blame as the rest of the shit over the last 5 years when it comes to not getting any silverware but hes still accountable himself, gone missing in far too many big important games as have they all.
I used to think the same thing about fancy passes until I started watching KDB a lot. He tries a ton of complex passes that often don't come off, and yet he's lauded for it because when they do, the results are superb. A lot of Kane's assists this season have come from those excellent, ambitious passes.

Shearer saying that Kane should leave. If there is one guy out there that may appreciate Harry loving the club, it's Shearer. He stuck with a shite Newcastle team for years and never looked to move because he was happy there. But someone in the same position and he's calling for them to move on. It's turning into a obsession

Dead to me if he leaves for Chelsea (spits), but honestly don't think it happens. Kane is above that.
I'd like to think so, but never thought that a certain player (double spit!) would make the move to that lot down the road! Never underestimate the lure of even more money, trophies and not having to uproot your family to the other side of the country or abroad.

Seems like everyone and his dog has got the opinion that H should leave, it's becoming a national pastime. Haven't they got anything else better to do? Really getting on my nerves now.

Shearer did win a league medal with Blackburn. That was a nice one in the sense that he went from Southampton to an old traditional club, who hadn’t won anything really in 80 odd years but with the investment of a home town investor Jack Walker had a real shot at winning the league which they duly did in 1995.

Quaint now to think that there was such hostility towards the likes of Jack Walker at Blackburn and John Hall in Newcastle investing in their home town clubs

Very different times now when you have to throughly reprehensible organisation like Citeh and Chavs, with owners who should never have been let into the sport, if you are to have a shit at winning big prizes

Yeah but he did it the opposite way round. He went home after having success. And Newcastle broke the transfer record to get him.

Do you honestly think with the tables reversed now we would be breaking transfer records to get Harry Kane? Not a chance unfortunately

So I don’t think you can compare the situations based on that.

Ultimately Kane can be like Le Tissier. A player who had his ambition questioned for being a one club player.

But I would prefer he stayed ran down his contract and gave us his peak years - maybe we get lucky and win a cup. Then he can go and join rangers and win the league to say he won league titles. Everyone’s a winner!!

Yes, and then some fans getting angry with Kane over a hypothetical scenario where we sell him to a rival. This is all in the framework of not knowing what he thinks or the situation at the club. Even if he does want to leave, which we have no idea about, he is not the type of player to refuse to train or play anyway. So we either have Kane for 3 more years or we have a huge transfer fee. Not a terrible scenario to be in.

Fair point, but yesterday wasn't a dead rubber.
I love H to bits, but if his heart isn't in it anymore, then let him go.
And that goes for any player, I only want guys who want to fight for us, at this Club.
Unfortunately, the last time any of ours genuinely fought for the club was the 'battle' of Stamford Bridge... and look how THAT turned out!
We totally lost our focus that night, and effectively any chance we had of the League....
I know we've had our moments after that, bu t feels like we've been playing 'nice guys' ever since!

The issue is that he clearly wants to leave, looks demotivated and done with the team. You can't really blame our best ever player for wanting to win things, and realizing we are getting worse and he's getting older, naturally leaving is the logical option. So keeping him against his wishes will not be productive.

Then we only have like 5 clubs in the world who can afford him and like 4 of them are our rivals.

There is no good way out here.

This is probably a broken record by now, but I am beyond sick of the media's concerted effort to get Kane to leave Spurs.

We're called one of the "Big 6" yet we're the only one of them who constantly get this treatment.

Right now Woolwich are in a worse place than us despite their Europa semi, yet I'm not seeing constant "Aubameyang, Lacazette or Smith-Rowe should leave Woolwich" stories.

Even outside of said "big 6", what about Leicester? When they were doing badly, I didn't see constant "Vardy should leave" stories, even though their title winning squad was mostly poached by the usual suspects.

To my knowledge, the only Spurs manager I can think of who even half spoke out against this was Mourinho of all people, when he said we don't get the respect we should from the media.

Where do you think he’s likely to go if he leaves in the summer?
Don't think anyone has the funds to afford him at the moment, but if I had to choose, I can only see one club paying the fee right now and that is Citeh. Maybe PSG could pay it but they seem to be in a bit of a hole with their finances. I am not sure Levy will sell to a premier league 'rival' anyway, certainly not Chelsea.

Think there are at least half a dozen players better than H that have worn the shirt (or do you think football started in 1992?).
;)

Who are they Mrs Perryman Mrs Perryman ?

As a gentlemen of relatively tender years I would say Kane is the best I've seen at Spurs in my lifetime. On history I would have him within the top ten for sure, and maybe top five. It's only the lack of material success (trophies) holding him back, imho.

Better players (or at least did more at Spurs)? IMHO

Mackay
Greaves
Blanchflower
Hoddle
Perryman
Jennings
C Jones
Ardiles

And I think a few of those are pretty debatable.

I’d imagine Haaland is Number 1 target for Citeh. If they don’t get Haaland, it’s a possibility.

Can’t imagine PSG would enthuse him that much. An utterly shit, one horse league, even if there is to be aberration this season. PSG will be back winning that by 20 points next season. It would
Be a bit like Graham Roberts or Richard Gough leaving us back in the 1980’a to go to Rangers.

People keep saying 'no one can afford him'. Barca or Real can ALWAYS get financing. ALWAYS.

Bayern could get him, but I think they won't go for him.

Sadly, City, United or Chelsea could also get him. Of those, I think he'd go to City. City = guaranteed trophies and big trophies. Also, De Bruyne + Kane in the same team should probably be illegal. It's basically a cheat code.

He wouldn't have to score 2 or 3 each week just to get a draw, because he wouldn't have a bunch of absolute fucking morons behind him.

Could be worse, I was on deployment and the last news I heard was Berbatov had just signed for Man City, several weeks later I learned Berbatov had signed for Man Utd, we were bottom of the league and Frazier Campbell was our No1 striker.....The Taliban are nowhere near as bad as the football media!!
