Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We were extremely lucky vs City. Llorente's handball goal, last minute offside with var, away goals, etc . They had destroyed us that match. And in the semi they destroyed us again until the last few minutes where lucas had the best 30 minutes of his life. Now he is a 10th of the player that he was in those 30 minutes. We were outclassed but ridiculously lucky.
Ahhhh I see the Poch miracle worker angle is dead now.
We didn’t deserve to win either, but we did.

We didn’t deserve to win the final, and we lost.

But yeah, Harry Kane

You think way to short term as if the whole team, and set up and manager has the be the same just minus Kane.

Imagine a situation where we buy two actual talented full backs who can chip in.
It doesn’t have to be three forwards.

What if Son bags 18, we sign Bale and he gets 15, Moura gets 8 and a new striker gets 15-20, plus 10 from our new FBs combined?

Our fan base still thinks Kane scoring 20 on his own is more
What if none of those players score all of those goals and our new striker is a flop?

It’s all conjecture

The only actual facts we know are that Kane consistently scores goals for us

What if they do because they have regularly though.
The point is, while it’s conjecture it’s still realistic that we can be a good team without Kane.

This attitude is exactly what’s fucking us up.
Kane Kane Kane Kane Kane........

Fools blindly pretending he isn’t as shit as Winks in many a game

I also think we can be a good team without Kane, but we can be an even better one with him.

If Winks scored 30 goals a season I’m sure spurs fans would cut him a bit more slack than we currently do

Edinson Cavani extending deal at Manchester United..
Interesting one. He was saying a few weeks ago that Manchester was such an utter shithole he couldn’t get out of the place quick enough.

He’s still a world class striker, but has to be used sparingly as legs are not up to it week in week out. I’d imagine they’re still in the hunt for another striker.

If we got Haaland no one will give two fucks about Kane, so all the fake love might as well take a back seat.

There are players out there you have no idea who will come in a be a hero.
You’re obsessed with a pipe dream.
A 30yr old Kane will be worth fuck all to anyone.....that’s just two seasons away.

Same nonsense about Dele and Eriksen for years. Yeah, yeah been here done that

We have absolutely zero chance in hell of getting Haaland or anyone even half of his level of player

You also seem to be completely ignoring the fact that I have said repeatedly that Kane can play badly and I think we can still be a functioning team without him

Don’t label me with this fake rhetoric you have dreamed up about all spurs fans and their views on Kane

How would you move forward if we sold Kane for say 150 million? What striker/strikers would you be looking at signing? At the moment I can’t see anyone wanting to join us that would score more than 10 goals a season for us
It’s not for you to decide who wants to join us.
If we offer Haaland 300k a week we will probably get him.
I wouldn’t spend 150M on one replacement, I’d fix the entire match day squad with a balance of players who can play together and get in a manager who has a game plan.

I see that as FAR more preferable to keeping Kane and getting in Scott Parker

Sorry to burst your bubble Sam but we could offer Haaland a million a week and a night with Dua Lipa in the shower and he wouldn’t join us

And I’ve never once said I want Scott Parker as our manager. Again stop assigning quotes to me that you’ve completely dreamt up

What really hasn't helped us this season are stats like these;

Lamela 4 in 35
Dele 3 in 26
Sanchez 2 in 31
Aurier 2 in 27
Winks 2 in 27
Alderweireld 1 in 31
Davies 1 in 38
Hojbjerg 1 in 50 (cracker)
Sissoko 1 in 41
Doherty 0 in 27
Reguilon 0 in 33
Dier 0 in 37
Bergwijn 0 in 33

You don't 'expect' a lot of these players to score in any individual game, but over a season it is realistic to want more.

It exaggerates Kane's goal return importance rather than highlighting the lack of input from the rest of the squad outside Kane, Son & Bale.
Moura has 9 in 49 which is alright - nothing more.

Our defenders have scored 6 goals for us this season.
City have 15 goals from theirs this season, Liverpool 16 from defenders last season. The difference is more than Moura's 1 in 5~ tally.

I'm not certain, but expect looking back at league winning sides - their defenders not only prevented goals being conceded, but could also go up the other end to convert a corner or whatever.
John Terry seemed to score against us any time the stakes were high, and even remember Gallas slamming one in off the post from 30 yards.

The thing is I was mainly talking about big games we actually won, rather than ones we played shit and lost.
Opponents: Brentford, Chelsea, Woolwich, Sheff Utd, Swansea, Millwall. Man City he went off injured early in the first leg if I remember correctly.

Played: 6 (1 as sub)
Scored: 1 penalty
Assists: 2
MOTM: 0

These aren't much better football teams.

My original post;

And the same said about his England performances;

Regardless, at the end of the day he's our best player, our main source of goals and assists and one of the best players in Europe. Go criticise some genuinely shite players we have at the club currently, you're spoilt for choice.

He is our main source of goals + assists, and is one of the best strikers in Europe. Not contesting that 1 bit.

If I wanted to criticise other specific players I would do it on the appropriate forum thread, but this is the Harry Kane one.. and like I said previously, Kane is not infallible.

Nobody is saying he is? I don't see anyone saying he is Messi or Ronaldo level. Or that he's perfect. I just find it mightily strange that anyone that's a Spurs fan wouldn't say only great things about him.

I have said many great things about him over the years, probably a praise to criticism ratio of about 1:150

But that's fine and I respect where you are coming from.
For me, the line I'm not prepared to cross with Kane criticism being a Spurs fan is regarding perceived diving, dangerous play, tactical fouls, or the way he speaks.

funny thing is though, Scoring goals hasn't been our problem really.
