Point taken. I don't agree but I enjoy our chats so in willing to drop it. Perhaps you didn't need to have a pop in a post where you're admonishing me for being a bit abusive but am not gonna argue.

Genuinely take your point and will try to be less potty mouthed.
Ps dyslexia is not akin to colour blindness at all and, coming from a family of sufferers it does affect day to day life.
My father was colour blind, and I have produced two dyslexic daughters, so am acutely aware of the issues surrounding both conditions. They do not disable the person with them, they are just a hurdle that they learn to adapt to. My eldest daughter was stratospherically dyslexic, and just missed out on a first at University in History, a subject with almost the same level of demand in communication using the written word, as English.
I get annoyed at people who call dyslexia a learning difficulty, because people with it have one more thing to learn than people who dont

Respect for getting that close. In the very old days grades were decided on interview. Maybe worth considering using this for dyslexics.

I wonder if we'll have to wait till the end of the season? I recall with Poch, the day after Sherwood's last game we announced he was relieved of duties and then Poch came within a few weeks. I'd say if we're looking at a Conte/Lopeteugi type we'll have no choice but to wait.

the only thing is - Real, Woolwich, Barca, and United (if they lose the EL final) could all be looking for new managers and we lose the advantage of having the filed to ourselves st the min

Most likely yeah.

But I would guess that it is wrapped up before the end of the season. But we just don't announce it.

So let's talk hypothetical situations that Levy and the new coach will have to sort for next season.

Situation 1. We get a Conte or a big coach with serious aspirations of winning the league. Kane and Son are onside. But the existing squad is nowhere near good enough. Levy has to cough up the cash to back his shiney new coach. He'll also need to cut his losses to get the shite out of the squad.
Can't see it.

Situation 2. We got a Potter/Parker/Farke type. Kane and Son leave. Lots of money now in the kitty to reinvest.
Can the above coaches find/scout/attract the requisite talent to put us back on course?
Can't see it.

To me, there is no win in this. The outcome both ways is failure.

And it will continue to be failure until ENIC are gone.
The second option is workable. We have some players that could move, especially if we don’t have European football (I assume they might have bonuses tied to things like that). Also not sure Kane and son will jump ship.

Hitchen will be Levy's fall guy when it all goes wrong.

The man needs a person to deflect blame.

I can see it now, Levy will say he took a step back and allowed a football person to draw up the list. I followed what Hitchen said. Ergo it's Hitchen's fault.
I am sorry but why is Hitchen still at Spurs he seems as useful as a 🍫 🫖 . This whole thing where we have a transfer committee is ridiculous. The manager and chief scout/DOF should identify targets and it should be Levy’s job to say whether we can afford them.

Levy has made 2 successful Managerial appointments in 20 years.

Redknapp pretty much picked himself when he wanted to get clear of Pompey and we had 2 pts from 8 games.

Poch worked out hugely better than any of us dared hope.

We're not due another winning appointment for a few years yet then.

Note to Levy - get some outside help with this one, and the DoF too please.

Edit - both of those had experience and overachievement in the PL.

One manager I see pretty much nobody talking about is Nuno Espirito Santo. He's done a fantastic job at Wolves. This season has been disappointing for them but I understand they've had a lot of injuries and lost a few of their best players last summer not to mention the freak this season has been. Their run last year in Europa was brilliant and the sheer amount of games they've played you'd forgive them for being a bit knackered. If you think about it, he's certainly more qualified than Parker and Potter combined. My original choice was Ten Haag but seeing as that is dead in the water I'm not fully Nuno IN.

He has been discussed. He'd be another Portuguese bore. No chance we'd go anywhere near him.
