Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Such disrespect from sky. We should do a Fergie and fuck them off all of next season.

That said, Kane can fuck off.

Sheringham
Berbatov
Keane
Modric
Bale
Klinnsman

To name but a few excellent players who played and left us.

The club will be here long after Kane goes.

I sort of disagree with your point that selling him to a domestic rival is giving up on being competitive.
I would argue that last season we kept Harry and spent a bit (Bale loan/PEH/Doherty (lol!)/ Regi) and id say that net spend would be what we would expect at best this upcoming summer transfer window. I can't see us bridging that gap to being competitive with that sort of investment.
Either Levy and Co properly open the chequebook, which I can't see them doing given the economic climate and the fact we are paying off stadium debt and interest on an asset which has been sat there not generating income for 18 months due to covid...
OR.....we sell Kane for big bucks to an English club..one that would pay a premium for the commercial benefit of having the English captain, and a homegrown status player...and we reinvest in the squad.
The latter we are scared of because we saw what happened to the Bale cash. However, I'd argue many said Liverpool were not ambitious when they sold their "best player" in Coutinho at the time. They reinvested that cash extremely wisely and I think that was the moment that was pivotal in getting them to where they are now.
I admit it is a huge IF in that with the track record of our scouting department and recruitment I doubt we would spend any Kane proceeds wisely. But the wise move may well to cash in on a premium asset whilst you still can

Our record on big transfers is so bad that I wouldn’t trust Levy to spend the Kane money properly, not for one second. Every player we’ve spent more than £25m on has been a flop, he’s almost guaranteed to fuck it up.

Delusion is strong with some on here. Not sure what's the point in fighting to keep hold of someone who no longer wants to play for 'his' club.

Let's not drag this out all summer, that definitely won't be in our interest.
Couldn't agree more. Harry loves the club, and I honestly think he has stayed a season or two longer than a disloyal player might otherwise have.
Levy didn't back Poch when we had the squad to push on and win things. I don't blame Harry for wanting out now...we have been in decline for several seasons now and we need a full rebuild. He can see that. A blind person could.
He is 28 this summer and wants to win trophies. I won't begrudge him that.
Like you say..let's not do what we always do and leave it till too late. Let's get top dollar for him and move on

I couldn't agree more,mate...but we are f***ed either way then,aren't we?
Option 1: build around Kane...by buying shite players to join him
Option 2: sell Kane and use money to buy more shite players

Just highlights how big a rebuild we need as a club. Both of the squad and behind the scenes with the shocking recruitment team we have

Thanks for the memories, Harry. It's on Levy and the club that we couldn't match your ambition. Best of luck wherever you go, other than when you play against us.

Sell Kane and we might as well pack our bags. I don’t give a shit what any deluded Spurs fan says how he isn’t bigger than the club. Bolloks!!! It’s more than that. Harry Kane goes, we lose any chance of getting a top manager. Kane goes, no player would want to come to us. Kane goes, other players like Son would want to move. Kane goes, we lose 30 goals a season. A complete disaster.

Could argue that the new manager could be boosted by the Kane funds in terms of rebuilding the squad but I take the point
This is the only positive spin here, I think: this is going to be a very unusual transfer window given the impact of covid on clubs in the league and around Europe. There's apt to be a lot of good deals out there in an extreme buyers market, but the catch will be actually having the funds to be a buyer. Kane is one of the few players whose sale could raise those funds by himself.
