Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

If we had some ambition and vision then you could turn a massive negative into a positive. As said, use it to sign Sancho, Bellingham, Daka. Create a new young side rather than clinging onto the end of the 2015 to 2019 team. Start again. But then you remember its Levy in charge. We wont pay the transfer fees or wages. We'll blow the Kane money by spreading it too thin.
I've been thinking about what Levy would do with the money if this transfer materialised.

I'm convinced he knows that 'politically' losing Kane would be so traumatic for the fanbase (many of whom are already calling for his head) that he'd pay potentially over the odds on a big name to placate them.

Agree. They'd be an ill judged grand gesture in there, wasting a lot of the money.

I’m a Tottenham Hotspur fan, not a Harry Kane fan.

I supported this club before he showed up, and will continue to support us when he goes.

Can’t believe the people who say this will be the end for them. Strange

I imagine he'll try and outdo himself when he sold Bale.

Magnificent 7?

Just you wait for the Great 8.

And by great, I of course mean fucking shit.

It depends on your definition of a 'big name'.

Someone like Grealish I could 100% see.

Grealish is not going to want to join a Kane-less Tottenham in the Europa Conference League. He will have much more interesting offers to choose from.

The only players we ever spend big money on are ones that nobody else is interested in. No other club was in for Ndombele, Lo Celso, Sessegnon, Sanchez, Sissoko etc. Levy will 100% fuck it up like he always does when big money is involved. If Kane goes then we will be in another post-Bale situation only there will be no messiah from the academy to save us this time.

Sky just doing their usual nonsense. No sources. All the papers and talksport will be running with this in glee like its a done deal. These fake rumours literally happen every summer window with Kane.

Cant say I expect him to stay with us for his full career. So if he does leave I think it would be to City. The other clubs like Man Utd and Chelsea are a side step and cant guarantee trophies despite their huge spending. As someone else mentioned Kyle Walker left us at a similar age and has won trophies with them. They are the only club in the country that can guarantee that.
I don't disagree about this story getting thrown around every year (probably with the exception of the CL final season), but it has been... different... this evening. Sky Sports has never gone this hard to push the story - yellow ticker and everything. It makes me think, despite their lack of actual quoted sources, that it's a nothingburger.

He's got three years left on his contract so we don't have to sell regardless of what the wankers at Sly Sports are saying. and Kane isn't the sort that will refuse to train or play, he is a professional and if the club tells him he is staying he will do the job, I have no doubt of that.

My concern would be the stadium debt and ENIC being in a hole due to Covid and having no choice but to sell, we will then buy a couple of cheap options and the rest of the money will go to the debt.

At which point you can kiss goodbye to top 4 and any hope of achieving anything for the foreseeable.
