Fuck it, I really really really really wanted ten Hag because I see him as one of the best Dutch managers of his generation (yeah people might think wtf but that’s how good I think he is/will be), but I think Conte will do. I am looking forward to see what this crazy ass sweet Italian will do at our club. Hopefully success paves his Spurs career. Whilst I still have hope we’re going to do a 180 degrees and do a shock appoint in ten Hag, I reckon it’s unlikely. So I will get behind Conte for sure. Let’s do this :tobyarm:

To be fair, if Levy gets Conte, brings in the Sporting Director Conte wants to work with and we recruit the players Conte wants, then Levy will have gone a long way to redeeming himself.

Though I'd stil be ok with Levy/Lewis selling to some Saudi lunatic who wants his team to be number 1 and will spend whatever it takes...

Rip out the soul of our football club all in the name of success, no thanks.

Jose has gone tho so we don't need to speak about him right? Certainly not in a new manager thread...although levy could be the ultimate troll and Jose returns
It Follows on from a previous post. If we keep blaming managers, we'll keep condoning the way Levy operates. We blamed Villas Boas. We Blamed Sherwood. We Blamed Rednapp. We Blamed Poch. We are currently Blaming Jose.

I was trying to highlight why we not gonna get a manager who hungers for Trophies. It's because we excuse Levy with so called "Masterclasses" and we blame managers for failures to win trophies.

Who is our next manager will mean nothing until the crap gets stopped

This isn’t limited to us, generally there are only 2/3 clubs a season that win anything. Every other club is trying to balance players, spending and managers. Few rarely get it right

Mate his football at Chavs was really, really passive.

If we appoint him, my hope - not belief, is that he realizes that this team plays better playing on the front foot than playing defensively. I mention this solely because as I said in my previous post he is brilliant at quickly identifying the right formation with the right players to win games. But his default is functional football that's highly repetitive and for my taste boring as hell.

Whilst that all sounds negative, it should in no way be interpreted that I don't think he's a good coach, on the contrary, I think he's truly Wolrd Class but I can list 10 managers (some not as good as him) that I would rather have at Spurs than him.
Chelsea were 2nd in goals scored in 2016/17 (1 behind us for most)

Deadly. The Poch refusing to be backed myth is the big lie, it’s twitter itk.
right - so the truth is whenever we buy a bad player it's on levy but any decent signing we've bought is the manager is that it?

Come on FFS, I'm not even pro or anti Levy AND I love Poch but if you think the majority of people on her defend Levy I've no idea what board you're reading.

It's called seeing shades of grey.

Poch was not backed, everyone acknowledges this. Levy likely forced him to take on players he didn't want as well, everyone acknowledges this.

The point is there are also many reports of Poch being stubborn on transfers and turning down players who turned out to be good.

We all generally love Poch but some people at least acknowledge he has faults.

I don't think there's much soul to the way Enic do things either. "Doing it the right way" as people often say just means charging the fans some of the highest prices to watch players that aren't as good as those at other clubs, just so that Lewis doesn't have to put much/any of his own money in whilst owning an asset that grows as the Premier League does likewise. As an added bonus, we get to win nothing.
