According to Ali G we're looking at defender Merih Demiral can't say I've heard of that player?
23, brilliant at the physical act of defending, great leap, tackle etc. Very front foot/aggressive, quick and strong. Can be a bit rash, hopefully would correct itself with consistent gametime and coaching. Passing is a bit like Hojbjerg imo, capable of being good, incisive and crisp, but can also miscue basic passes or take easy sideways option. Had a bad knee injury last year, and hasn't played as much as he should due to De Ligt, Ceillini, Bonucci. On the whole, would be an exciting signing

If Conte doesn't sign, however......................

How many of you weapons have changed your vote just because of the latest news :mourglasses:
I haven't. Will take a season or two with Conte without complaining, and if he can make Kane stay then I'd say this is the best option right now. I cannot see this working over time with Daniel Levy though, so it could be like pissing your pants to keep warm. Hopefully we can win something before the piss freezes.

There's no way we can challenge City/Liverpool for the title without massive investments in the squad. I don't think there's money for it now, so this would be a long time project. If you're telling me that Conte will be here for 3 years I won't believe you. He is surely the better tactician of the two, but he'll be gone in 2 years max. Poch however....

If Pochettino left PSG and turned down Real Madrid to come here that would be such a statement of his love for the club. I'd happily take the odd chance of winning the PL/CL for years to come with him at the helm. It is so hard to win the big trophies that I wouldn't see it as a failure if we came short time and again, just as long as we are competitive. Watching Poch on his knees crying in Amsterdam is the most beautiful thing I've ever witnessed on a football pitch. I'd have him back in a heartbeat. Fuck common sense and using the brain to make decisions.
