23, brilliant at the physical act of defending, great leap, tackle etc. Very front foot/aggressive, quick and strong. Can be a bit rash, hopefully would correct itself with consistent gametime and coaching. Passing is a bit like Hojbjerg imo, capable of being good, incisive and crisp, but can also miscue basic passes or take easy sideways option. Had a bad knee injury last year, and hasn't played as much as he should due to De Ligt, Ceillini, Bonucci. On the whole, would be an exciting signing
Some people lose their speed and athleticism after such a serious injury. Do we have evidence he's back to his pre-injury self?

LEVY : There are 2 top top coaches in the world. One is at another premier league club, the other is Jose Mourinho.

CONTE : You motherfucker.

POTTER : Jeez. I'm flattered.

Who is this Fabio Paratici guy? Is he any good at finding young/cheap talent? Why wouldn't we have gone for someone like Rangnick instead?

I knew of him but did some digging on old articles and found the following.

Ex-Juventus sporting director / CFO / managing director. He's been with them for 11 years and was finishing his contract in June. They seem to be letting several of the management leave for a revamp.

He learned the role under guidance of Marotta (not that one). They then fell out over non-football related issues and Marotta left and joined Inter. Juve wanted Marotta to re-join but he refused whilst Paratici was still at the club. Marotta has since helped guide Inter to the Scudetto.
”I don’t consider the scudetto that we won as a revenge against the Bianconeri. My experience with Juventus gave me a lot and I remained on good terms with everyone except for one person, namely Fabio Paratici... I want to clarify that it was for human and non-professional reasons. I did not expect certain decisions to be made, but I accepted them as I always have." - Marotta

Juventus focus has been on signing out contract players (so this saves them a transfer fee?). He has signed players including: Khedira, Can, Rabiot and Ramsey. His biggest signings however were: Kulusevski, De Ligt & Ronaldo. A mix of experienced and VERY EXPENSIVE young players. They were also in talks to sign Haaland before his big move, but the transfer fell through, with some fans blaming Paratici.

He was also successful moving Cancelo on for a big fee and other squad players. He has however, found it difficult to move on high earners. Something that seems to be continually overlooked at our own club as we've held on to deadwood for many years.

He was linked to Man Utd in 2018 before they took on Ole.

He has called for an NBA system of moving players about on loan, rather than transfer fees.

We need someone for this position. My preference is for us to go big for Luis Campos. I wouldn't be against the appointment of Fabio though. Can't be any worse than what we're doing currently.

Current odds (not that they usually mean anything)

See that pillock on SC has started gobbing off
Apparently it's all agreed. But not.

Before you ask=All agreed yesterday, but today some more details to iron out. Not Daniel’s fault. Conte playing a blinder! No F’ng creative ratings etc!
I share as it unfolds okay. Too much slosh last night

Conte fell from the skies to our lap. This is the most un-spursy thing in quite some time. We get a top 3 world class free of any compensation when our rivals all have settled managers. United persisting with Ole and the goons with arteta is also hilarious. This could be a marking point in the history of the club. I feel that we will achieve finally serious goals.

Madness really.

Initially I assumed Madrid would go for Conte. I know he is combustable, and the chance are they would fall out sooner or later, but thats never stopped them before.

Then I figured PSG would snap him up to replace Poch (going to us). Tasty little pay off for them and a higher profile manager in to boot.

That Madrid went for Ancelotti, PSG seem set on Poch, hell - even Juve going back to Allegri rather than Conte - I cant believe at the end of this merry go round we are left with a clear run at one of the best managers there is.
