Conte and Paratici securing the authority and the funding they need to implement their project is great news and is not going to just happen overnight.

It will also take the kind of patience and forbearance Levy has never previously shown in order to stick over the long term, but let’s cross that bridge when we come to it.
I don't know if they will secure very much funding, but if they all get a very clear agreement about what is available, and what level of control each party has, then things will be good, as it is something to work from. I would've preferred someone else instead of Paratici, but literally anyone in a long-term role overseeing squad transitions and planning is the big thing we need.

Do you think Conte negotiating with Levy is like Gazza negotiating with Scholar?

Alright, I'll come.
5 minutes later calls back. If I come to tottenham can I have a house?
OK.
5 minutes later. If I come to tottenham can I have a car?
OK.
5 minutes later. If I come to tottenham me mam will need a car to drive down, can she have a car?

Give us something else to get in a flap about.

That is Fucking stupid. The fact is managers need large staffs to implement their visions. This is penny pinching. Conte is not my first choice for manager but if you are going to bring him you need to back him with a team to carry out his vision. Too often has Levy undermined the manager by bringing in ringers into the coaching team.

He had 8 members of staff at Inter and 11 at Chelsea. That sounds like quite a lot to me. It's all negotiation anyway.

Us being us there is always the worry about it blowing up in our faces. It doubles the staff compensation when he's sacked in 18 months time (like everyone keeps telling me will happen). I can understand the reticence somewhat.

If true of course. His agent seems to love a leak to Italian journalists. In no way is that going to be annoying in the future!

another 3 staff will cost a lot of money (maybe £20-40 million a year more ) and could be a deal breaker
but with the amount of money wasted already sacking Poch & his team, then Jose & his team maybe its small beer

3 staff will cost 20-40m a year????

I need to get into football coaching if the 3 lowest members of a coaching staff are making over 10m a season.
