Poch should never have been fired. Bloke had no stadium and no money to spend. Even poch gave levy advice a rebuild was needed. So levy hung him out to dry. The problem is levy at our club. Ego. He cant be told and thinks he knows everything. He does business wise but not football.

I do get the stadium and the lack of spending happened around the same time. Reason is that the club denied the stadium move would have no affect on the team which was total and utter bollocks of the highest order. This made it look like Poch was too blame, as you say he got hung out to dry and some of the stupider members of our fan base went along with it.

That being said a stadium move is brutal on a club, happened with Leicester and Woolwich. Levy should just have been honest that it would be a difficult period. I accepted it would be hard but I still am pissed of for Levy being deceitful over it.

i didnt have this feeling with mourinho cause the guy was past it but i can sense us doing extremely well under conte. kane will likely stay and conte gets backed heavily, he wants belotti as back up to kane or together up front, doesnt that speak volumes of his ambition compared to others in the past. no more crappy njie signings and janssen. conte is no idiot he would not sign unless hes backed. this is exciting times for us that i havent felt in a looooong time

When i see levy on camera at game on tv walking down steps in stadium feel they should play the darth vader music in background. Hes had long enough. 20 years.

We will play better football than Jose and mix it with the big boys. If the backing ain’t good enough though it will blow up and we will be back to square one, I am excited but in many ways this is more a gamble than say Poch or Ten Hag.

Hope so mate. Just seems were outlaying another massive financial package for a sexy named manager and dof. Obviously psg didnt want to let poch go which is understandable. How many director of footballs we had now? Arnesen, baldini, comolli, mitchell, hitchen and theyve all walked the plank. Need stability at club. Not sure as well conte is a good fit in dressing room. See how it pans out but time to freeze for a season for me.
All of this is true, that we've been down this path a million times before.

But the only way to get to the end of that path is to start down it again.

The alternative plan of Levy and Hitchen doing all the deals with a miniature head coach role coaching the team was never going to be sustainable.

tbf mourinho was collecting the paycheck, conte wants to win always does. levy for all his shortcomings knows hes on his last stand here especially with the fans, i have no doubt in my mind conte will be backed. we need this, i like poch as much as anyone else but its far to early and soon, we need to challenge with the top four and not fall away from it, seeing conte shout at winks and sissoko is a bonus

Oh I don't think that's true. He's just self-absorbed enough to think The Special One could win with the squad he'd seen Spurs have.

He's also old school, he isn't one to try and set up some massive staff infrastructure and all that jazz. That he's spent a ton of money is not the same thing as being a sophisticated transfer market operator, Jose's not that at all.

Conte isn't that much younger than Mourinho, but he emerges from a very different era of football as a coach.
