Meh.

Don't dislike the bloke, think he's a decent enough manager but was hoping for far better.

Levy and ENIC have zero ambition for the club, just going for the cheap options now. Oh well, at least we may start actually buying some players now.

Oh well let's see how this goes.

We get Santo and United get Sancho for more than we will probably spend on players in the next couple of years.

Big job for Santo but a great chance for him to show his managerial clout.

It would be ironic if he outdid his Portuguese predecessors.

I remember us being underwhelmed by Jol, outraged by Redknapp, expectant with both Ramos and AVB, so whilst underwhelming, I’m not going to pass any kind of judgement until we see what we get.

Just checking…. Given your skills at identifying successful appointments, is your real name Steve Hitchens?

How many Portuguese players can we buy in a month? That's the question.

One'll do!

Man Ure got Jadon

We, as usual, got pissed-on

It's very rare that I jump to agree with you but the acrimony against Nino before he he's even started

I'VE WATCHED us appoint Neil, Gross and Ramos. Surely he is a LOT better than those losers.
Still loathe Levy and Lewis , however I agree I think Nuno deserves a fair chance.
It is a conundrum as many want to create a toxic atmosphere for ENIC, this will inevitably lead to worse results and not necessarily Nuno’s fault.
Equally creating a great atmosphere for Nuno and the team , results go well , Levy weasels his way out

Catch 22 , how can we show our dissatisfaction with ENIC and not damage the team’s performance

Right now I reckon we'll finish below the usual suspects, as well as Leicester, Everton, West Ham, Woolwich and Leeds, in no particular order.

I can't believe there are people that actually think we might scrape 4th, and that the worst that might happen is 6th.
No idea how you can even begin to speculate on our league position when we have no idea what Incomings and outgoing so are going to happen. Clearly you are pessimistic on that front but I prefer to await developments before speculating on our potential success this season.

No idea what you're going on about...... Least of all 'cos your latest comment has no correlation to your previous.

I agree when I agree; I don't when I don't. I express my opinion un-prompted when I have one I feel like sharing. No fence involved.
I've never seen someone cover all bases as much as you do. It's fucking boring. Put the money where your yakker is mate. You're generally a decent poster but you can't have it every which way.

Everything about the club right now just feels uninspiring.

The Manager
The finances
The transfer activity (or lack thereof)

For Nuno, he’s on a hiding to nothing with the lack of fan support he has already. It’s imperative he gives us cause for some small amount of optimism within the first couple of months of the season. I’d like to see 3 things personally:-

1) Rodon, Tango, Sess and Skipp must feature. He gets some leeway if he’s attempting to blood youngsters into the first team.

2) Known dross (like Sanchez and Sissoko) can not be given another chance to prove themselves. The cycle is over for many within the squad. If we can’t sell them, try youth instead. Einstein’s insanity with some of these players.

3) We must look to play a decent brand of football. It doesn’t have to be naively attacking, but it must be full of energy and front-foot aggression. Low-block bore draws are the antithesis of what this club and its fans need right now.

It’s been a shit couple of years. My relationship with the club feels like one of those marriages where you’re staying together for convenience but the love has gone.

Nuno has to give me a reason to fall back in love with this club over the next 3 months. The points above would help with that for me.

What do you guys want to see?

he's a good manager. nothing tells me he'll be a disaster in any way. and he's got something to prove given he's at a bigger club so he'll be motivated. i think this is a good result for us.
