It's not, when this ownership has a track record of bailing out of top level deals for relative pennies.
You know what's "relative pennies" (just calling it pennies shows how out of touch some are): when we offer 34m and the seller wants 35m. Yeah, that one should get done. Although one could argue, why can't the seller settle; I mean it's just pennies, right? But when we offer 45-50 and the seller wants 60, that's not fucking pennies. It never was and it never will be.

Must be the only business where they can say a price then decide they want more later try doing that buying a house or car, Arnold Clark has a Beamer for sale 25k you agree to buy it come back next day oh price has went up I am wanting 28k now! :pochunimpressed:

Jesus fucking Christ people are sensitive. I'm not saying don't spend the money.

I make one little comment about the fact that people throw around £5m like it's pennies and people shit their pants. Game has gone mad.

It’s almost like they don’t have a clue what they are talking about.

Today sounds like the deadline for Romero so we will know either way. Not secure him and those who say we never pay the money will be delighted, do it and they’ll shut up for a few days until the next rumour approaches and they’ll wonder why it’s not done that day. Happens on every transfer.

This is from a Glasgow news outlet;

''Joe Hart could cost Celtic just £1million as the Hoops stepped up their pursuits of the Tottenham goalkeeper.

Contact between the clubs regarding the former England goalkeeper has taken place but Spurs won’t be letting him go for nothing, reports the Daily Record.

Hart still has a year left on his deal in North London on eye-watering wages of £2.5million per year''

I'd rather have Craig David than Milenkovic

If we could get a million quid for him then it’s good business. Anything above zero is actually!

Getting £1m for him is good business, but to be honest we should just let him go for free if that's what it takes. We need to get his wages off the books.

"Snack bar boss offered 15 year old £30 for sex"

£30 for sex or £1million for Joe Hart??? You decide.

So would it not make more sense to target a player for whom you are prepared to pay the price tag. Rather than fucking around for weeks on end only to lose valuable time and ultimately missing out. As had happened to us numerous times in the past.

Surely the selling club has every right to value a contracted player at what they deem appropriate. It's not for us to determine the appropriate transfer fee.
