I wonder why Arnessen , Comoli and Baldini did not work out if only there was a pattern
Lol.

  • Baldini's last job in football was at Spurs.
  • Comoli (who left Liverpool "by mutual consent" after signing Jordan Henderson, Charlie Adam, Stewart Downing, Doni, José Enrique, Sebastián Coates, and Craig fucking Bellamy) was last sacked in December 2020 by Fenerbache.
  • Arnesen was photographed on one of Roman Abramovich's yachts. He's currently at Feyenoord after spending a season at Anderlecht.

His wages aren't actually that significant apparently only around the £30,000 mark

But yeah take a tiny fee for him it doens't matter too much in the grand scheme of things.

There are conflicting reports on his salary with some places saying £30k a week and others saying £52k. Either way if he's not in Nuno's plans it's a decent chunk of change for someone who isn't likely to play.

Edit:

Link not working so I will post part of the article from Financial Times-

FC Barcelona and Real Madrid will be forced to pay back millions of euros in illegal state aid after the EU’s highest court ruled Brussels was right to declare that beneficial tax arrangements they enjoyed for a quarter of a century were illegal.
Fair enough, although the case is way more complex - it wasn't "Here, have this money Real Madrid and Barcelona (and Athletic Bilbao and Osasuna, by the by)" but rather a change in the law back in 1990 due to the chaotic finances of Spanish football teams apart from those four and an aspect of pre-existing Spanish tax law which saw them then taxed at a lower rate.

Way too dull to go into here

Getting £1m for him is good business, but to be honest we should just let him go for free if that's what it takes. We need to get his wages off the books.

If you were Hart, you'd not be in any rush to end your current lucrative contract, relocate from London to Glasgow and get paid less for the effort. Have to imagine we're going to still pay a % of his wage for the first year as part of this deal, surely?

Sounds like a load of bollocks from that guy. Skipp is just coming into his prime, was the best DM in the championship at Norwich and could go onto be one of the best DM’s in the league while we have no backup for Hojbjerg.

If we are selling/sold Sanchez, Dier, Toby going to be fucking light at the back even with 2 new CB’s so why would be loaning Tanganga unless we are buying 3 CB’s or heaven forbid we are keeping Sanchez and Dier.

He is usually decent with us but this is a big what if piece, basically just complete guesswork

If we do as he suggested then we are buying a DM (maybe Kessie) and keeping Dier or Sanchez or selling them and buying 3 CB’s not 2. Otherwise we are leaving the squad threadbare. It doesn’t seem logical unless Paratici and Nuno have taken leave of their senses
