It’s always the other team mate - really?

We should have paid what they wanted and had this done in the first week - now it’s dragged on for weeks as usual and our season start and defence overall is a joke
Based on nothing at all I’d say that Atalanta would’ve pulled this regardless of us trying to lower the price. They’ve effectively had two week to actively start chasing replacement targets and are now wanting to delay the signing even more.

It’s not apples to apples but imagine if we found a buyer for Winks but we’d then delay the agreement by another 2 weeks until we found a replacement. A lot of the people on here would be fuming.

jjetset last night...

However, if Spurs were ready to pay for Dias why were they not ready to pay for Skriniar? And when was the last time Spurs beat Man City to a player both wanted?

- Don’t listen to Twitter or papers about Romero, relax as they are putting out a lot of bullshit. Atalanta are leaking a lot as negotiating tactics.

- We have 5 more possible outs.

- Paratici in control, not Levy this summer.

- Jose said no to Dias last summer and Poch also said no to Bruno, we were happy to pay for both.

This will all be ignored by the usual clown show as anything that doesn't paint the club in a shitty light is to be automatically written off as ENIC propaganda written by bots.

I suspect the problem with Spurs is entering into negotiations for players the Spurs way of paying.

Whereas we may "offer €55m" we'll be giving them €10m then annual payments then performance based add ons then sell ons etc etc etc.
Whereas City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Burnley, Luton, Accrington Stanley all slap cash on the table.

This I can almost confirm is true: Spurs are indeed interested in Martinez - just like ALL other clubs in the world.
If they can't get Kounde because of lack of CL ....well, don't expect Martinez to sign for Spurs this summer. Besides, Barca and Real M. are 2 of the main contenders.

No

Torres, Laporte and 60M I would take but I don't think for Bernardo and Torres as it would leave too many holes in our team. We would still need help at CB, CM, RB in that case and would have too many attacking mid fielders.

If we also sold Tanguy for 60m+ to use to buy someone like Locatelli + funds for a CB then I would look at Bernardo but then we are talking about a lot of squad changes.

Good of you to take Torres and La Porte. That bits sorted.
