I would be pretty happy if we could get Romero and Tomiyasu wrapped up quickly then Paratici can focus on clearly out some of the deadwood. If we have time and money for more signings after that it'd be a bonus, but getting these two in would be good.

Not sure about Tomiyasu as an orthodox right back. To me it seems his best position would be as a RCB in a back 3. Very powerful player but not sure what his crossing/end product would be like as a normal right back.

That extra defensive solidity might not be the worst thing in the world vs City......

Then again, depending on Nuno's chosen system we could even go:

Doherty / Tommy / Romero / Rodon / Reggie

......Or even Aurier if he hasn't left yet.

If we've met their demands it seems a deal has been agreed...

And yes this is a tier 1 source..

Tier 1 source but Tier 5 Italian to English translation skills.

Article says Spurs want to speed up negotiations to bring him in next week, but there's still no agreement.

Just the other day; people were willing on the idea that we could get Vlahovic on an installment plan......

I dunno how likely that his, but 20m would represent a significnat 1st installment, no?

Alternatively Ings for 20-25m seems doable.

Just spitballing, but not sure what other names people are wanting to throw about atm.
Ings is doable at 20 mill but I don't think he will want to be back up at his age. If Vlahovic is so highly rated then we might have to do whatever it takes to make that deal happen now because next summer might be too late.

I've just read the Di Marzio article, and I'm pretty sure this is a mistranslation.

No indication we've met their demands.
I think the deal was struck a couple of days ago and kept under wraps so Atalanta could buy the replacement(s).
No need to increase our offer as there was no other club in for him.
Of course the long nosed warmongers don't like simple explanations and will rant on.
And on, and on and on.
