Err, ok

They'll spend it. They'll eventually get questioned on it. They'll get away with it.
I keep saying this, FFP only applies to Spurs because it suits Daniel Levy.

Nothings changed. No signing has taken place. We've fucked deals up further down the line than this.

You can hate them all you like but he's right. Levy is absolutely looking at this as the beat chance he has yet of cashing in for maximum fee. Get top dollar for the fee AND cut our highest paid players wages off the books.
Reinvest a chunk of it on younger players on significantly less wages and hope to hell we don't get relegated.
Like with eriksen yeah? When Levy literally took a lower fee and wanted to keep the player. You’re full of shit.

I love this ‘levy is dying to sell all our best players’ bs. It’s so stupid.

People getting mad at Levy because Paratici offered what Atalanta were asking to stop them delaying any further so Romero can be in camp when he gets back from holiday, only for Atalanta to not accept the offer because they've dawdled on getting a replacement CB in, is some real mental gymnastics.

There's so much actual things to be upset at Levy about - you don't need to make things up.

That's for the DOF and scouts to sort out
Presumably the DOF believes them to be of a suitable standard? (...Above a certain 'unacceptable' level, if you will.)

Again..... Presumably the DOF believes them to be of a suitable standard?
Yes he does, does that mean he is right?
I don't think I've ever seen Milenkovic (eg) play.... Have you seen a lot of him? You said he'd already proven not good enough (or have I got the wrong end of the stick there?)

.....What I can recall though is that there were plenty of calls here to sign him last summer.
I haven't seen him play, but there are others that have watched him this season who don't rate him and think he would be a bit of a punt, I also haven't seen Simy play and I didn't watch Gedson play before we took him on loan.
How long we've kept the likes of Dier, Sanchez or whoever is a new thread of this conversation..... Nothing to do with Paratici either seeing as he's only been with us a month.
It's everything thing to do with Paratici because the man behind him who controls everything is Levy.

Yet.....

Yes he does, does that mean he is right?

You don't trust his judgement.....

I haven't seen him play, but there are others that have watched him this season who don't rate him and think he would be a bit of a punt,

.....But you do trust the experts on TFC?

:avbshit:

I also haven't seen Simy play and I didn't watch Gedson play before we took him on loan.

I'd never knowingly seen Son play. Nor Jan before we signed him..... We could play this game all day... But it'll go nowhere.

It's everything thing to do with Paratici because the man behind him who controls everything is Levy.

This sentence makes no sense.

Even if it did (which it doesn't)........ What on earth?????

.....Explain to me how our past duds lasting "2 or 3 years" longer here than they should have has ANYTHING to do with a guy that's been here a month?

How about you judge him on his OWN actions?

Yet.....

You don't trust his judgement.....
I would question it if we're going for some of the latter players on the list.
.....But you do trust the experts on TFC?

:avbshit:
There are some very knowledgeable people here, not just about football but all kinds of stuff it doesn't matter that's it's TFC. Last season we had a manager who had won the champions league twice, but yet a lot of what he did was wrong and a lot of what the experts and non experts said was right.
I'd never knowingly seen Son play. Nor Jan before we signed him..... We could play this game all day... But it'll go nowhere.

Look at the DOFs we've had here in the past, do you not think that Levy was involved in what they were doing?

I suspect the problem with Spurs is entering into negotiations for players the Spurs way of paying.

Whereas we may "offer €55m" we'll be giving them €10m then annual payments then performance based add ons then sell ons etc etc etc.
Whereas City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Burnley, Luton, Accrington Stanley all slap cash on the table.
And you know that how exactly?

So we’ve come to the end of our busiest week in the transfer window!
Here is a list of what we’ve done this week:

- Absolutely
- Fuck
- All

We'll get our business done. Loads of clubs trying to extract maximum value to make up for Covid loss, loads of clubs trying for bargains for the same reason. Negotiating clubs will start further away from each other as a result, then move closer as time goes on. Exactly what is happening with Spurs and Atalanta. Only the doped clubs can afford to jump straight in with silly fees.
No, it can't be so! It's just too.... sensible. Shirley there's another explanation. :p

Just to add to this some people are suggesting that the reason why Atalanta are putting out all these stuff to the media is because when they buy their replacement if the selling club knows a deal is agreed it would likely make the selling club charge Atalanta a bit of a premium for their player as they would be cash strapped.

That seems like a sensible theory.

Let's just see I feel like both Atalanta and Tottenham have messed each other around at parts of these negotiations. Atalanta were patient with Tottenham now Tottenham need to do the same.

An agreement is clearly very close pending Atalanta buy a replacement , why would you mess it up now?
Well, you wouldn't, unless the "pending a replacement" came up in the last minute. Negotiating a price and taking time to agree, I understand. But throwing in a last-minute condition is really dicking around.

You do see how flawed your logic is, don't you?

You haven't seen player X.... Don't trust the judgement of our new DOF (who's just come from that league!) nor willing to afford him the benefit of the doubt despite just arriving...... But the posters here, whom have proven wrong many many times (LOL Ndombele!); they get your faith?

Look at the DOFs we've had here in the past, do you not think that Levy was involved in what they were doing?

That's 100% nothing to do with what's being spoken about....

Again: .....Explain to me how our past duds lasting "2 or 3 years" longer here than they should have has ANYTHING to do with Paraticci's judgement of players?

You were questioning the judgement of the DOF...... Now you're just shoehorning a "Boo! Levy" sentiment.

Very rarely do clubs pay the full amount up front. Liverpool paid little to no cash up front for all their players last summer. Payment terms are always an expected part of negotiations.
