It might have been best for everyone to have sold Eriksen one or two years earlier.

But virtually every fan would have been shouting at Levy 'Why sell one of our best players ?' You are only at Spurs for the money' or similar

So its actually a 'no win' scenario for Levy

As big a problem, given Spurs pretty abysmal judgement in buying footballers from 2015 onwards - paying good fees for Sissoko (when in same Window we could have bought Grealish, Maddison and Brooks for same money - but Poch wanted a ready made player not one to train up), Aurier (instead of Perreira) and Poch preferred Lo Celso to Bruno Fernandes .......... and very few good choices. So had we sold Eriksen for a large fee, I'm none to sure we would be better off now - we should have been but if we had bought badly again ?.

Any fan looking at Eriksen, with 1 or 2 years left on his deal and absolutely no interest in signing a new one, and then blaming Levycunt for selling him is out of their fucking mind.

I hate Baldilocks the tight cunt more than most fans but I support him selling anyone who won't sign a new contract with 2 or less years to go. We can't afford to let quality players sit around doing nothing whilst deminishing in value every single month.

If Romero signs it will be in spite of Levy who by all info to date attempted to low ball as usual and ruin it. Credit to Paratici

Why is anyone surprised?

Classic Levycunt last second low-ball cunt move. Bloke is a clueless buffoon and has ruined us yet agaan. Aids
True in a lot of cases in the past but not this time. Atalanta being arseholes, not Daniel.
Not true though; the reports are that Spurs are the ones who compromised on the price. Atalanta standing firm on their original valuation, no agreement despite our offer being very close.
Sources suggest Spurs are absolutely furious.
This. We have offered fair compensation.

The whole Romero saga has really distracted from the many other issues we have.

Two weeks from the season starting and at best we are looking at Auier-Doherty as our RB's, with maybe being able to again play Tanganga out of position there hurting his development as a CB.

No back-up for Kane at striker. No quality RW options. Major issues in our MF still.

Even if Romero comes in he is starting next to one of Dier/Rodon/Sanchez which is not close to good enough.

Zero of the deadwood gone, outside of Lamela who was pretty far down the list of guys who needed to go and no credible links to any of them going.

There is still massive work that needs to be done apart from the Romero transfer.

Agree with you completely with first sentence, but a number of fans wre not seeing it like that.

And our buying record since 2015 has been very poor (jury still out on Ndombele and Lo Celso's first 2 seasons affected by injury and/or poor form and not fair to evaluate last summer's arrivals other than Hojbjerg who has been a great succes) so by no ,means clear we would have replaced him properly

If you had to pick one of Martinez or Vlahovic, who would it be?

I’d be leaning towards Vlahovic, younger and probably more suited to PL

Martinez

Vlahovic might have the higher upside but I feel like I know what I am getting with Martinez and he has much less of a bust risk compared to Vlahovic.

Martinez has also shown that he can play well with a dominant striker so if we are keeping Kane then he is a much better option to play with him.

What is it with all the childish name calling on here?

It used to be a few doing it but now it's infecting everywhere.

We had an influx of 5 year olds posting or something?
